Just played the demo on PS3... everything I wanted. The best of the PS2 SSx style of play with PS3 era graphics. Love it. The trick system is lush.

I heard PS3 is the lead platform on this, porting over to X360, so it should look stunning. A few people have mentioned the prominence of X360 controllers in a lot of the videos of the studio at work, saying this points to the X360 being the lead platform, but I hear they use a 360 pad to control play and testing on their PC's... and that PS3 is indeed the lead. This is good news, as it is easy to port to X360 and achieve parity, where when X60 leads, the PS3 title usually looks inferior. Cool!

Me too. Just pre-ordered now. The PSX and PS2 era had tons of games like this, but so far the current gen has been left wanting. Shaun White Snowboarding is the only game of its kind and that was awful. This gen has been begging for a proper SSX outing. Now I just wish they'd revive the Sled Storm and Splashdown franchises... they were also games I loved.

@N0NTAGE Actually, we had two 7 hour sessions over two days. With a break in-between each one (Pizza!). We played through the entire campaign and then went on to Global Events. So it didn't get too stale and ended up being a lot of fun :)

That's odd, just the other day I tried running Tricky in a PS2 emulator to see if it would work. It did, but a bit slowly...although i was using the actual game disc, which is supposedly slower than an .iso file. My life is weird like that, always leaving little hints of the future everywhere. Sometimes I'll remember an xkcd comic some random day, and a couple days later messing with the "RANDOM" button on the website takes me to that very comic (keep in mind there are over 1000 now).

@WinCamXP Oh my gawd, I just opened the xkcd site and clicked "RANDOM" - it opened a comic I randomly thought about recently. Creepy, since I just made a dang comment about how that happens. Well, either way, I'm really looking forward to this game. I've always wanted to play SSX3 multiplayer, it's pretty much the perfect multiplayer game. I just wish more games had co-op that was tied into singleplayer, instead of a separate, more limited mode. Like the LEGO approach, but with SSX.

Don't hate on me, if you're as oldschool as I am, you know THPS was amazing on the N64 and PS1. I mean, it was unrealistic, yes, but who in the blue hell cared? SSX isn't realistic either! C'mon.
