The patient was under conscious sedation. in ideal setting , open reduction is best done under the strict sterile condition of the operating room, unfortunately in most countries in Africa , with patient backlog of about 3 months in the operating theater , we can't always get what we want and have to work with what we have, especially with procedures that depend on swift intervention like fractures . All the instruments and drapes were autoclaved

1.The patient is under conscious sedation or general anesthesia? 2. Open reduction of mandibular fracture do not have to be performed in an operating room? 3. That is performed in a dental chair with a piece of high speed, surgical drapes, surgical clothing and gloves not sterile!
