Don't call the Gen Y. Call them Millennials. Y means they are more like X just more extreme. Which is not true. They use to be called Echo Boomers but we know they are like Boomers. Therefore calling them Millennials is more appropriate because it doesn't pre-define them as similar to previous generation.
It's fortunate that Y is a big generation. It's going to require a combined effort on the part of X, Y, Z, and beyond to clean up the shitstorm that the gang from Woodstock has left the world in.
Watching some Botox-injected member of the generation that wrote the book on aquiring as much materialistic junk before death as possible chirp about non-tangible benefits with a straight face is the epitome of Boomer smugness. Go tax the homeless, you old bag!
What is this ... she talks like Gen Y invented the idea of not working 14 hours a day!!!!! Gen X has been fighthing with the boomers since we where able to enter the workforce ... sigh ... again we are ignored.

@26789mzx She is actually correct. Gen Xers are smaller than the Boomers and Millennials. Millennials out number Xers a little over 2 to 1. The 76 million number you are quoting is the number when the book was published, which the last cohorts of the Millennials hasn't arrived yet if you look there's a ? on the end date. You should read H&S book on the Fourth Turning and Millennials Rising. Check out the Pew Research on this cohort too. Silent and Xers are a recessive generation.
@dynamicmaxwell120 I'll use your criteria to respond i.e. -- "when the book Generations was published". "Generations" by Strauss and Howe was published in 1991. The last Gen Xer was born in 1981. If we use your criteria (when the book was published) then the total number of Generation Xers in the U.S. is still 93,000,000 people (see page 318).
@26789mzx H&S has changed that 93 million and the 76 million number several times in the the later books for accuracy which I strongly suggest you read. In Pew's research If you check out the number of births through the 3 decades and take what's call an integral in calculus you get that Millennials out number GenXers and so do Boomers. Millennials are only approximately 10% larger then Boomers. I referenced the published date of the book to let you know your referencing outdated data.
@dynamicmaxwell120 H&S didn't substantially change their estimates of generational populations in later books (give me the chapter and page). I'll quote directly from the source: "The absolute size of Gen X derives from (a) it's longer length, from 1961-1981, versus 18 years for Boomers (1943-1960) (b) included are 1961-63 cohorts, which were large fertility-rate "boom" years, within Gen X; fertility rate break points always indicate gen boundaries (c) the record number of Gen X immigrants
@26789mzx the 96million is a typo, it's suppose to be 69million. Which is more statistically correct and matches data by integration by all the new research. Besides, they wouldn't call GenX the Baby-bust generation if they weren't smaller than Boomers.
@dynamicmaxwell120 I don't know what you're talking about when you write "96 million is a typo". New research doesn't change a fact that occurred in the past. You can call Gen Xers whatever you want -- but it doesn't change the facts -- that the total Gen X population in the U.S. is 93,000,000 people.
@26789mzx I meant 93 is 39. we know the actual number to be 45-47million Gen Xers. Besides in his book, it was a projected number and not the actual number, so 93 million is not a fact. New research does matter, because you're basing your quote on quote facts on outdated and inaccurate data. It's like saying the sun revolves around the earth even though new research says otherwise. Even Neil Howe and Bill Strauss has changed that number to be less then 50 million.
@dynamicmaxwell120 Ditto H&S didn't substantially change their estimates of generational populations in later books (give me the chapter and page). I'll quote directly from the source: "The absolute size of Gen X derives from (a) it's longer length, from 1961-1981, versus 18 years for Boomers (1943-1960) (b) included are 1961-63 cohorts, which were large fertility-rate "boom" years, within Gen X; fertility rate break points always indicate gen boundaries (c)the record number of Gen X immigrants
@26789mzx H&S has changed the dates, Boomers are 46 to 64. That's why they state that even though Obama is technically a Boomer, he is an Xer because of his up bringing. Don't be fixated on dates. You have to read H&S newer books, plus the Pew Research that Howe participated in. You can't base all the facts on one book. Yes, there are record number of Gen X immigrants, but that means they have children that out number them, that's why Millennials are larger.
@dynamicmaxwell120 The dates are set -- Gen Xers are born between 1961-1981. Yes, Obama is a "post-boomer" who was born in 1961. Just curious -- why are you assuming what books I've read (or not)? PEW is not the market leader in generational research.
@26789mzx The dates were not set when H&S wrote Generations. PEW has done plenty of research and they did it with cooperation with Howe, but PEW is not the only one. PEW is reliable because their work is peer reviewed and has been debated. H&S works are not peer reviewed. the 93 million doesn't even mathematically make sense and it's not consistent with H&S newer work, which they wrote after more research was done. That's why they changed the dates in their books.
@dynamicmaxwell120 You've claimed that H&S "has (sic) changed that 93 million (Gen X) and the 76 million (Millennial) number several times -- in later S&H books for accuracy". Please provide the title of the book, the chapter name and the page number you're quoting from because the numbers have not changed to make a big difference (although there are more Millennials --- but it's NOT a 2 to 1 ratio compared with Xers as you stated in a prior post). They're a few million apart.
Gen Z is way better. Anyone born past 1991 have more sense than these lazy immature 25 year olds that thing their shit don't stink. We are not all Justin Beiber and Hannah Montana.
I am actually on the cusp. The beginning of generation Z and end of generation Y hasn't been established that well, but I seen sort of a "generation gap" of the older kids and the younger kids in college. The ones in their 20s act a lot different than the ones that are 18 and 19 years old. They seem to be more conservative. I heard somewhere it started in 1991. Some believe that Gen Y ends in 2000 or even 2003. I don't really think so.

- 5StarGeneralXenoCO - Whats with spelling out an interjection? Seems this is something Gen Y does with a high degree of frequency. I doubt you will find many or any Gen Xer doing this.
@5StarGeneralXenoCO I was chilled. You added the interjection. I too could do this but it would be redundant. Capital letters to communicate pitch is used by most Gen Yers. Why not add an apostrophe; at least that is more universally known. Since you're making the claim that i've made mistakes, provide statistically backed scientific research that contradicts what i've stated.
@chroniclerofthe70s I have now come to the conclusion that you are infact a troll. By the way you forgot to make the "I" in "I've" capital, I'm sure the Baby Boomers don't forget to make their "I's" capital, unlike most Gen Xers.
@5StarGeneralXenoCO I'll give you the grammer, however the capitalization of I is tentative. Example, i before e except after c. Try that on the word protein. The definition of generation I used is tentative. Depending on their unique personal experiences, individuals born between 76' - 80' could identify with either generation. I never had a problem with your list. My list was meant to be suggestive and the years were meant to be flexible.
@chroniclerofthe70s gen x is fucked up....they are not established or successful cuz river phoenix ruined their lives...hehehee....showed them to od like him hehehhee....at 23...heheeee...thats the impact river had on gen x heheheee
Check out The underlying law of nature. Bing or Google it. Discovered relatively recently, it is possibly the world's most useful knowledge. One of countless reasons–its understanding and application is the most effective and efficient means to improve the performance of any process.
So middle aged people have differerent priorities from young people and older folks. Who knew? Isn't this just wrapping up the bleeding obvious in a load of pseudo-academic research. Disappointing that Harvard Business publishing adopts such a credulous stance in the face of such twaddle.
More pyscho-bable bullshit from some overpaid consultant bitch.
All generations are the same. They slack off when they're young, they become responsible when they hit middle age settle into a comfortable old age and then die.
@Lalo3001 Hispanic Gen Xers often worked in fields during summers to earn money for clothing and school items. Many worked between 16-18 hours of manual labor non stop seven days a week starting in late May through the mid July. They got paid minimum wage. I'll bet you wont find that level of work in most Gen Yers of today.
@sylicone221 Art often imitates life, take a look at Close Encounters of the Third Kind - you'll see kids working on their yards in a suburban neighborhood on a Saturday morning. Something that was common in my own neighborhood when i was a kid in the late 70s. You rarely see that today; it's often the adult GenX parents that are doing the yard work on weekends.
@sylicone221 My parents got jobs in the late 1950s and probably expected it would be the same for their Gen X children. I had to work while earning my college degree; it definitly made it more difficult and took me longer to complete my degree.
to be honest if you look at humans before civilization. pretty much we were just pretty lazy if we didn't have to do more than simply survive... not gonna knock it, but we have civilization now, and yea the youth piss away their youth, and then are middle aged and contribute to society, then become old and yea either offer wisdom or become bitter assholes... its every generation. plus pre-civilization no human ever made it to middle aged.
Flexibility is so important and I think employers are really starting to understand. Flexibility = a much happier work force. More employers/managers need to watch this.
I joined the workforce in 2009 after graduating from college. I see how important it is to understand the differences between the various "generations" of workers. I think this video can help managers and employees work better together and be more successful.
@sylicone221 they are so the laziest idiots in the world that need mummy to breast feed them all the time they need a kick in the ass to make them grow up
As a Gen X member, I found this to be great information on working with my colleagues. The five principles were right on, and I'll be sharing this information with my co-workers. Perhaps with this info, we'll all begin to learn more and understand about our needs as employees. Thanks for posting this video.
Thanks for posting this video ISPA - there is some really helpful information here that look forward to utilizing in my business. Keep up the great work!
My first visit to Harvard Business Publishing, I picked this video to learn more about the generations, I, [Silent Generation] Parents [Greatest Generation] daughter [Boomers 1964] one X [1967], and a granddaughter [2001] Our life experience and world experience seems to come at an ever increasing speed and weight from a time of scarcity to abundance, when I was young only cars to consider was a Ford or GM Now the selection almost overwhelming. Very disappointed in some comments. HarOLD
Think of the underlying law of nature. The way of all things.
Consider its astounding inferences and implications.
The single, underlying law ... of nature! Not merely of physics, chemistry, psychology, biology, etc., but of all known fields of inquiry. The law we can all relate to, identify, understand and apply.
Ask yourself. What is the underlying law of nature?
Delight in the question. Have fun in the process of finding the answer firsthand for yourself.
@shelivade91 ur garbage. i'm not even listening to what shes saying. and no need to be a butch about it i cant be happy for sum1 i know... u r suh a turd.
Look at these stupid dykes in their lesbian mansuits. Hahahahaha! These are the stupid broads you see regurgitating a sociology textboook on the History Channel. Hahahahaha!
Its funny how some babyboomer prick will get fired from one job. Then will get hired as a superviser in some little podung business outfitt Didnt the people in the podung business outfit want a promotion? Besides what workplace is she talking about. There wont be any jobs soon enough anyway. Best thng to do when you have a boomer. Do all his work. Work for them is self esteem. If you make them useless then theyre neutralized. Its my observation gen y's do screw off quite a bit
Gen Y is sooo different and needs all these things, while gen X was forced to climb a 15 yr latter to find NOTHING! We get to fight for jobs loosing our homes/savings, against brats who think they get it all just by walking in the door making demands. I dont want to hear..CRAVE or DIFFERENT REMOTE STAGGERED FLEX WORK HOURS...EXPANDING MINDS CHALLENGE All = selfish and instant. Go die and take your kids with you fucken boomers.
She's forgetting that Generation Y has abysmal communication skills, they can't take risks, they can't manage a company, they can't compose music, they can't act, they can't create shit, and most of all they can't rebel because their parents are always shooting rocks up their ass when they try to have fun.
Just wait until Japan comes and fucks these kids up the ass. It's going to be a fucking riot.
Haha! You sound like a bitter Gen X'er. You make some pretty blanketed terms. If I were a betting man (risk taker) I would say if you took a Gen X in their 20's vs a Gen Y in their 20's Gen Y has it on the premise of being able to do just what you said we can't. Compose music...really? We don't need to we have apps for that. lol I like that you think the most faltered aspect of Gen Y is their failure to rebel... You can take your rebel without a cause with your mediocre job, we'll be just fine.
And You're not a risk taker because you're a dickless Gen Y pussy that was raised by it's mother.
All you do is make self righteous comments but you prove nothing, the oldest of your generation are hitting 30 with zero impact on society. You all suck cock.
And I'd take being a poor musician over a miserable life as a Happy PC Faggot anyday.
@Shelivade Self righteous nothing I have an education and building a career based on my passions not acting like a dejected douche bag makes you 'cool' guess the high school mentality is hard to grow out of enjoy your life of destitution.
You're the self righteous nothing. Look at how you talk about yourself, you sound like a fucking dyke.
Face it, Generation Y sucks balls. You're garbage, the worst thing to happen to society since Betty Friedan and Cured Beef Jerky.
Feelings of self importance when there's nothing special about any of you. You all dress the same way, have the same tastes, the same interests, drive the same hybrid pieces of shit and have the same popular belief of everything.
@shelivade91 I saw your comment on womensuck. HAHA are you a fucking homosexual? HELLO! You're born because of one!! LMAO you sound like a fucking child. I know what the problem is. The problem is that you have never had a fucking girlfriend, before. You need to get out of the house more and join the rest of us in the real world. Fucking reject. Get a life.
No I just have common sense and whimmin are garbage. Just cause I have sex with whimmin doesn't mean I have to like them. Happy PC Gen Y Faggot, you've got no idea what you're talking about, leave it to the "real" men.
You're praising whimmin for being useless cum dumps. If it wasn't for men whimmin would be living in tents picking vegetables. Even something as oversimplified as the wheel would give whimmin a headache.
@shelivade91 LMAO! Kid, get off the fucking computer. I thought your exact thoughts when I was 6 years old. It wasn't till I was 10 that I began to realize how much of a douchebag I had been. Let me guess? You are in Elementary School and never have a girlfriend because you're fucking ugly. You have only a couple friends and not even they like you that much. You're fat and ugly. You are so fucking insecure. Get over it. There are more women than men in the world.
And this is coming from someone pretending to be the skinhead who tried to crack holes in Obama? I'd be damned if you made this account just to fuck with me. Come to think you're probably that stupid bitch from the other video.
You see if your account wasn't so "formulated" and you didn't register 4 days ago you might have gotten away with it but you're just too stupid.
Stop wasting my time. Go back and throw rocks at Jews and stick your head up some fat whomyn's ass or whatever it is you do.
@shelivade91 haha so i guess you watch the news. listen, pighead, you are a fail at life. u were rejected all your life and never had a girlfriend ONCE do to take out your frustration, u rant towards women on the internet even though you were born out of one. get a life. ur life has got to be the saddest, most miserable life EVER. LMAO what other video? TheBigSmokeGTA owned? lol what a douche. ur were born out of a woman.
@shelivade91 lol what fucking d-bag. Also, why do you take out the @(username). I don't know who ur writing at, fucktard. Men were born to start families. You're not succesful and never will be in life. You're insecure and lonely, and you know that. You will never start a family and raise kids. Sorry, bud. That's not how the world works.
Considering you're the only person in this room it's not that hard to figure out I'm talking you shithead. And I take that as a compliment. Children are for losers. Losers with zero accomplishments who have children to fulfill their worthless lives.
And you're right whimmin were born to have children, unfortunately they're not good at raising them or doing anything. Men were born to control everything and do everything that whimmin can't, including starting families.
@shelivade91 HAHA what a loser fucking virgin cunt. You fail at life, seriously. LMAO "You're 9 year old grammar" lol ur talking crap about his grammar yet you use the wrong usage of "your" right before you begin talking crap about HIS grammar!!!
Slip of the eye. So what? My point was still conveyed while that person could barely construct a sentence. And I think that person was female. No kidding.
@shelivade91 lol ur saying that children are for losers? So, I guess, you're saying that your parents are losers. You're saying that your parents shouldn't have had you. You're calling your poor mother a bitch for having to give birth to a worthless fuck like you. How smart.
Yeah and I still stand by that. My parent's "decision" to have children has nothing to do with my current beliefs. And I never implied that my mother was a bitch. I've got no idea where you got that from.
@shelivade91 Now, I KNOW you're a kid. lol you watch The Incredible Hulk animated series........NOW, I AM 100% SURE THAT YOU ARE A FAT REJECT KID. You'll grow up one day........I promise. Once you hit puberty, you'll realize how much of a douche you once were and you'll laugh. Everyone grows up sometime.
@DannyCowart Yeah I'm not the one typing in "CAPS LOCK" judging people based on TV shows and telling them to grow up. That in itself is childish.
That show in particular is made for children but is geared toward adults like any Marvel animated series from the 90's. With today's cartoons you might have a point.
Ironically I used to be just like you. I used to think whimmin were "really cool" until I grew a set of balls and finally saw them as the worthless scum that they really are.
@shelivade91 lol loser. That must mean that you got your ass turned down so hard at the end of H.S.! lol what a fail at life. Slit your wrists. Don't go and blast a college like your hero, Cho Seung Hui. You have no friends, I bet. : ) You hate "whimmins" because you were a reject in school and never got a date to the prom like everyone else and you know it's true.
@DannyCowart Oh please. Your stereotypes of me are pathetic and based on nothing. At least I have science and facts to prove what I say. You just assume the worst about people you dislike to antagonize them. Very fucking mature.
1. I never went to high school.
2. You couldn't pay me to go to a prom.
3. Just because I fuck whimmin doesn't mean I date them or desire to date them.
4. I don't even care about sex, I'm not even very attracted to whimmin. I'm asexual.
Stop jumping to conclusions, just because I didn't go to High School or College doesn't mean I'm uneducated. They hand out degrees like Kindergarden Diplomas to whimmin today, it means nothing.
In these days you can learn more from self study a day than you can in 4 years at some 2nd rate college, if you're really doing it for an education, it's a waste of money.
@shelivade91 Men are on this planet simply to reproduce with women and begin the cycle over and over again. You know you're a loser. Everyone here can see the lil' fat reject named shelivade91 in front of a screen. You fail at life, kid! While, we're all living our lives and starting families and having laughs, you're the only one here that was bullied in school and wouldn't do anything about it. You are the laughing-stock of the world and you know it.
Now, if you truly thought that about men you would stop using a computer, a "man's invention" to type that message.
And I know you're a whomyn, maybe a homosexual or a spineless liberal. No self respecting creature with a penis would say any of things you've said here. Period.
Want to know how to manage Generation Y? Read the book by Bruce Tulgan titled "Not Everyone Gets A Trophy - How to Manage Generation Y". Spells it out in basics how to manage generation Y.
WTF? Is this a clip from the 80s?! Wake up. I don't care what part of the alphabet you label yourself, people better start manufacturing something tangible or everyone's gonna be in an alphabet soup line. Their veneers and little St Johnish outfits ARE adorable, though.
Agreed! And what is the hidden agenda? Who pays her?
Harvard Business publishing is the source...
What do Harvard students want besides power and money?
And this paints Fizer in a positive light, which smacks of corporate cronyism. Since when is any big pharma corp serving anything but their bottom line?
Changing definitions to fulfill a self-serving bias is also being manipulative.
Meh, Gen Y's self-gratification usually leads to drug dependency, and drug-overdose. Their own narcissistic delusions will clean up the gene pool by self-exterminaton.
Companys give back to the community hahaha, they don't have to they'll go to China or India were labor is cheap and abundant and college grads are bulging at the seams, just look at Bill Gates response when he was in front of the senate committee, addressing the lack of skilled college grads in the U.S.
Gen Y does not want to produce that's fine you will be replaced by workers from China and India and workers from Mexico, you are not the center of the universe the economy is global you will will be replaced in approximentley 2 seconds.
Might have been a good thing to introduce the concept of Gen Y (60's to 70's), Boomer (40's and 50's) and Gen X (80's and 90's) in the info box (top right).
@5StarGeneralXenoCO - Gen Yers has never known a world without a PC while Gen Xers have never known a world without a TV. The initial release of Star Wars was a generational defining cultural moment. One could use Gen X as those born BSW ( before Star Wars ) and Gen Y as those born on or
ASW ( after Star Wars ). My older brother and his friends were born in 1961, they were freshmen when SW came out, they talked and joked about it. However, the older classmates had little or no interest.
Quite a good publicity for Bangladesh & Grameen bank!!!

dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 Millennials are like the previous civic generation who were called the G.I.s. Millenials aren't like the Boomer generation at all.

See ya at work, Gen Y. Love you guys!

Gen Xers are the LARGEST U.S. generational population. They're born between the years 1961-1981. The total U.S. Gen X population is 93,000,000 people. See New York Times bestselling book titled "Generations" by experts Strauss and Howe (page 318).
H&S project the Millennials at 76,000,000 people in the U.S. (see page 336).
Baby Boomers are estimated at 79,000,000 people in the U.S. (see page 300).
The "Silent" generation is at 49,000,000 people in the U.S. (see page 280).
26789mzx 1 year ago 8
@26789mzx She is actually correct. Gen Xers are smaller than the Boomers and Millennials. Millennials out number Xers a little over 2 to 1. The 76 million number you are quoting is the number when the book was published, which the last cohorts of the Millennials hasn't arrived yet if you look there's a ? on the end date. You should read H&S book on the Fourth Turning and Millennials Rising. Check out the Pew Research on this cohort too. Silent and Xers are a recessive generation.
dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 I'll use your criteria to respond i.e. -- "when the book Generations was published". "Generations" by Strauss and Howe was published in 1991. The last Gen Xer was born in 1981. If we use your criteria (when the book was published) then the total number of Generation Xers in the U.S. is still 93,000,000 people (see page 318).
26789mzx 7 months ago
@26789mzx H&S has changed that 93 million and the 76 million number several times in the the later books for accuracy which I strongly suggest you read. In Pew's research If you check out the number of births through the 3 decades and take what's call an integral in calculus you get that Millennials out number GenXers and so do Boomers. Millennials are only approximately 10% larger then Boomers. I referenced the published date of the book to let you know your referencing outdated data.
dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 H&S didn't substantially change their estimates of generational populations in later books (give me the chapter and page). I'll quote directly from the source: "The absolute size of Gen X derives from (a) it's longer length, from 1961-1981, versus 18 years for Boomers (1943-1960) (b) included are 1961-63 cohorts, which were large fertility-rate "boom" years, within Gen X; fertility rate break points always indicate gen boundaries (c) the record number of Gen X immigrants
26789mzx 7 months ago
@26789mzx the 96million is a typo, it's suppose to be 69million. Which is more statistically correct and matches data by integration by all the new research. Besides, they wouldn't call GenX the Baby-bust generation if they weren't smaller than Boomers.
dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 I don't know what you're talking about when you write "96 million is a typo". New research doesn't change a fact that occurred in the past. You can call Gen Xers whatever you want -- but it doesn't change the facts -- that the total Gen X population in the U.S. is 93,000,000 people.
26789mzx 7 months ago
@26789mzx I meant 93 is 39. we know the actual number to be 45-47million Gen Xers. Besides in his book, it was a projected number and not the actual number, so 93 million is not a fact. New research does matter, because you're basing your quote on quote facts on outdated and inaccurate data. It's like saying the sun revolves around the earth even though new research says otherwise. Even Neil Howe and Bill Strauss has changed that number to be less then 50 million.
dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 Ditto H&S didn't substantially change their estimates of generational populations in later books (give me the chapter and page). I'll quote directly from the source: "The absolute size of Gen X derives from (a) it's longer length, from 1961-1981, versus 18 years for Boomers (1943-1960) (b) included are 1961-63 cohorts, which were large fertility-rate "boom" years, within Gen X; fertility rate break points always indicate gen boundaries (c)the record number of Gen X immigrants
26789mzx 7 months ago
@26789mzx H&S has changed the dates, Boomers are 46 to 64. That's why they state that even though Obama is technically a Boomer, he is an Xer because of his up bringing. Don't be fixated on dates. You have to read H&S newer books, plus the Pew Research that Howe participated in. You can't base all the facts on one book. Yes, there are record number of Gen X immigrants, but that means they have children that out number them, that's why Millennials are larger.
dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 The dates are set -- Gen Xers are born between 1961-1981. Yes, Obama is a "post-boomer" who was born in 1961. Just curious -- why are you assuming what books I've read (or not)? PEW is not the market leader in generational research.
26789mzx 7 months ago
@26789mzx The dates were not set when H&S wrote Generations. PEW has done plenty of research and they did it with cooperation with Howe, but PEW is not the only one. PEW is reliable because their work is peer reviewed and has been debated. H&S works are not peer reviewed. the 93 million doesn't even mathematically make sense and it's not consistent with H&S newer work, which they wrote after more research was done. That's why they changed the dates in their books.
dynamicmaxwell120 7 months ago
@dynamicmaxwell120 You've claimed that H&S "has (sic) changed that 93 million (Gen X) and the 76 million (Millennial) number several times -- in later S&H books for accuracy". Please provide the title of the book, the chapter name and the page number you're quoting from because the numbers have not changed to make a big difference (although there are more Millennials --- but it's NOT a 2 to 1 ratio compared with Xers as you stated in a prior post). They're a few million apart.

@chroniclerofthe70s What the hell is your problem I was just correcting YOUR mistakes, chill out man.
5StarGeneralXenoCO 1 year ago
@5StarGeneralXenoCO I was chilled. You added the interjection. I too could do this but it would be redundant. Capital letters to communicate pitch is used by most Gen Yers. Why not add an apostrophe; at least that is more universally known. Since you're making the claim that i've made mistakes, provide statistically backed scientific research that contradicts what i've stated.
chroniclerofthe70s 1 year ago
@chroniclerofthe70s I have now come to the conclusion that you are infact a troll. By the way you forgot to make the "I" in "I've" capital, I'm sure the Baby Boomers don't forget to make their "I's" capital, unlike most Gen Xers.
5StarGeneralXenoCO 1 year ago
@5StarGeneralXenoCO I'll give you the grammer, however the capitalization of I is tentative. Example, i before e except after c. Try that on the word protein. The definition of generation I used is tentative. Depending on their unique personal experiences, individuals born between 76' - 80' could identify with either generation. I never had a problem with your list. My list was meant to be suggestive and the years were meant to be flexible.

Ask yourself. What is the underlying law of nature?
Delight in the question. Have fun in the process of finding the answer firsthand for yourself.

I've got no idea where you got that from.
shelivade91 1 year ago
@shelivade91 Now, I KNOW you're a kid. lol you watch The Incredible Hulk animated series........NOW, I AM 100% SURE THAT YOU ARE A FAT REJECT KID. You'll grow up one day........I promise. Once you hit puberty, you'll realize how much of a douche you once were and you'll laugh. Everyone grows up sometime.
DannyCowart 1 year ago
@DannyCowart Yeah I'm not the one typing in "CAPS LOCK" judging people based on TV shows and telling them to grow up. That in itself is childish.
That show in particular is made for children but is geared toward adults like any Marvel animated series from the 90's. With today's cartoons you might have a point.
Ironically I used to be just like you. I used to think whimmin were "really cool" until I grew a set of balls and finally saw them as the worthless scum that they really are.
shelivade91 1 year ago
@shelivade91 lol loser. That must mean that you got your ass turned down so hard at the end of H.S.! lol what a fail at life. Slit your wrists. Don't go and blast a college like your hero, Cho Seung Hui. You have no friends, I bet. : ) You hate "whimmins" because you were a reject in school and never got a date to the prom like everyone else and you know it's true.
DannyCowart 1 year ago
@DannyCowart Oh please. Your stereotypes of me are pathetic and based on nothing. At least I have science and facts to prove what I say. You just assume the worst about people you dislike to antagonize them. Very fucking mature.
1. I never went to high school.
2. You couldn't pay me to go to a prom.
3. Just because I fuck whimmin doesn't mean I date them or desire to date them.
4. I don't even care about sex, I'm not even very attracted to whimmin. I'm asexual.

@DannyCowart

DannyCowart 1 year ago
Now, if you truly thought that about men you would stop using a computer, a "man's invention" to type that message.
And I know you're a whomyn, maybe a homosexual or a spineless liberal. No self respecting creature with a penis would say any of things you've said here. Period.

WTF? Is this a clip from the 80s?! Wake up. I don't care what part of the alphabet you label yourself, people better start manufacturing something tangible or everyone's gonna be in an alphabet soup line. Their veneers and little St Johnish outfits ARE adorable, though.

Harvard Business publishing is the source...
What do Harvard students want besides power and money?
And this paints Fizer in a positive light, which smacks of corporate cronyism. Since when is any big pharma corp serving anything but their bottom line?
The whole thing is suspicious!

Gen Y, "Altruistic"? Bullshit.
Altruism is all about giving, Gen Y is all about taking.
"I want to work my own hours" -> (I want to do little to nothing and get paid for )
"I want my job to be rewarding and meaningful" -> (I want to play, get paid for it, and have people tell me it's doing the world good)
Having the company give back does not count as "altruism" , it's called being manipulative, having someone else give while you take the credit.
3A7C 2 years ago 2
*DING* *DING* *DING* altruism = taking...where did you think your taxes were going?
MunnySmart 2 years ago
Whatever.

Memubitsu 2 years ago 3
I think you need to revisit the concept, Gen Y is 80's & 90's and Gen X is 60-70's.
sjbalsama 2 years ago 3
@Memubitsu Boomers (1945 - 1960), Gen X (1961 - 1976), Gen i ( 1977 - 1979 ), Gen Y ( 1980 - 1995 ), Millenials ( 1996 - 2010 ).
chroniclerofthe70s 1 year ago
@chroniclerofthe70s Uhh I think you mixed a lot of stuff up:
Baby Boomers
Generation X
(no generation inbetween)
Generation Y (Millenials)
Generation Z (Gen I)
5StarGeneralXenoCO 1 year ago
@5StarGeneralXenoCO - Gen Yers has never known a world without a PC while Gen Xers have never known a world without a TV. The initial release of Star Wars was a generational defining cultural moment. One could use Gen X as those born BSW ( before Star Wars ) and Gen Y as those born on or
ASW ( after Star Wars ). My older brother and his friends were born in 1961, they were freshmen when SW came out, they talked and joked about it. However, the older classmates had little or no interest.
