Sonate was composed long after Tango to Evora was published. Tango to Evora was published in 1991, the sixth song of the album by Mckennitt called "The Visit". Borrowing a melody is fine, however "Sonate" was not borrowed, it was plagiarised. check 2:32 to 2:52 and 3:28 to 3:44 It is quite easy to insert a poetry into a borrowed song and start selling it. Thats fine as long as you recognise hte rights of the artist that came up with it initially.

There are many versions of Tango to Evora and this is not Eli Fara's version.I am sure that the two artists did not agree for Eli to steal Mckennit's song or use her style simply cause Mckennit has generated millions from her song and she would not have any reason to make eli wealthy as well on her own account. Eli Fara just as many albanian singers is a plagiarizer and she should apologize to her fans for misleading them into thinking that she could come up with such a beautiful song.
