  • I've been told you can have up to 30 inches worth of fish per 10 gallons of water... And the guy who told me this has owned a aquarium shop for over 40 years...

  • its not crammed it seems like no one on youtube has any idea what they are talking about when it comes to aquarium, STOP LISTENING TO EVERYTHING PETCO OR PETSMART HAVE TO SAY

  • I hope you have another tank. The Red Tail and Pleco will have to be moved. They get too big for your small tank. They need at least a 55 gallon.

    Cheers

  • Ok its been a long time now since I updated. None of the fish seen here are present in that tank, as they have not been for around 3 months. The little ones all were eaten by the log fish. But the rest of the fish did move to the 55 gallon planted. No aggression issues at all except sometimes the shark chases the schoolers away from his territory. None of the big fish conflict and the log fish is a very slick and peaceful dude. This tank is filled with 6 guppy babes now, a guppy, and two GBR

  • It's WAY overstocked. Those fish can not even go in a 55gal. Get a 100gal or bigger tank if you want those. The only fish you can have in that tank is the danios, and guppies.

  • Well I had this tank running before I knew any better. Right now I have a 55 planted cycling so soon they will all have a new home! The pleco is really the only concern as far as bioload and when he reaches over 8 inches I will sell/return him and then get cory cats. The rest of the fish know their place and have plenty of hiding spots for stress. The shark really does a great job of cleaning up!

  • are you dumb a 100 gallon for those fish that get 2 inches and the angle only gets 6inches you are unexperienced and is telling the wrong info he would only need a 100 gallon if he wanted cichlids, oscar ect Abs0lutelyCurtains if i were you i wouldnt listen to her at all......ik because ive had fish and studied up on them sence i was 10

  • you obviously don't know much then. Because plecos especially need a lot bigger than that. "Semi-Aggressive" they get Aggressive if not housed properly, with more space it brings out less aggressiveness cause they have more room.

  • yeah ik i have a pleco and you wouldnt need a 55 or 100 or more gallon tank for those kind of fish

my bro has 2 full grown angle fish and a 7 inch pleco inch in a 30 gallon and their is no chasing no fighting and i think ive owned fish longer than you

  • All 3 of you are wrong. It depends on the type of pleco. Some are very aggressive some are very placid creatures. You Do not need a 100 gallon aquarium. A 55 gallon is plenty of space. And by the way, I have owned fish longer than both of you have.
