  • Wow... I had no idea Bruticus was in Energon. That's actually really cool. I haven't seen the guy since G1 and I've seen a glimpse of him in the trailer for Fall Of Cybertron, but I had no idea he was in any continuation of the animated series.

  • @Golan7 That's because the energon combiners were used very little and combined exactly once on screen. A criminal misuse of the characters.

  • transfom!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bigblue123 he is secretly nemesis prime?

  • and someguys said that autobots only had cool super links

  • anyone else hear ''combine'' as a ''captain''

  • @isantamies2

hes actually saying Gattai, the japanese word for fusion and combine

  • This transuforamation is impossibru!

  • i prefer 1986 ....

  • TUUUUUUUURRRRRRRANSFOOORM!!

  • I would pay to see the fansproject version animated in this way!

  • G1 Bruticus could beat this one simply due to being able to combine more quickly. ^_^

Just messing with you, good for you if you enjoy the show.

  • i only have barracae so far lolz

  • @godzillafan101 lol me too! XD

  • bruticus' IQ increased

  • It's a shame they didn't include this sequence in the English version really :(

  • lol srw alpha gaiden music

  • Nothing can beat the 2D Animation of Japan >:)

  • @stef300000 I'm with you there, I prefer 3D movies than shows

  • i love the music on this

  • ourzd

  • bruticus sounds pretty cool in japanese

  • And Ill form the head!

  • transformer unicron trilogy suffers from cheap anime syndrom. (dnt get me wrong that not a dig at anime, i love anime when done well) also im not fond of the visual style... i hate to say but as far a CGI i think i prefer Beast wars

  • Awesome. Ive never seen the power link series, or energon for that matter. But I do have Bruticus from Transformers ROTF. Love the toy.

  • Not always. It used CGI for "normal" animation (I use the term in the loosest possible sense, as the animation was SO shoddy and awful, with no concept of physics and weight (Did I mention cars drive in space?)), whereas it had far superior Cell animation than that of Armada, so they used that for stock footage, or things that had to be visually impressive.

Bad animation haunted both hemispheres of the planet when this was out. Worse dubbing haunted the West though.

  • was this... in japanese? i thought i heard a jap accent...?

  • duh

  • Yep.

  • What? Do you not know that The Transformers are originally from Japan?

  • Well...yes and no, Transformers is originally American, the toys they are based of however are Japanese. Takara introduced part of the Diaclone series here, Hasbro discovered it and soon struck a deal to make Transformers.

  • this is one badass superlink

  • Lets also not mention some lions that came before them.

  • Getter Robo(1974)*Very first combining robot

    Combattler V, Voltes V, Daimos(1976, 1977, 1978)

Super Sentai(Power Rangers(1979))*When they first started using mecha

    Voltron(1981)

    Transformers(1984)

Just a short list, but plenty of stuff predates combinations in Voltron and Transformers.I'm not sure when they had combining transformers, but Super Sentai stuff didn't start combining untill '88

  • Daimos didn't have any combinations though.

  • Yeah you're right, I forgot that he was only really made up of one big part.

  • hah! bruticus does really look like a gundam!

  • exept for the face thats a... ginn probably?... no

  • Brutikus became more gentle :D

  • More please.

  • power rangers came after Transformers.

  • anyone know the name of the song the music

  • for some reason when i see bruticuses head when that sound is made it is form gundam, and i think of him like a gundam

  • if only this animation was done for all of energon and cybertron those series wouldve been so much better

  • @ranimus234 only marginally really, the story and dubbing are still horroried train wrecks

  • @ranimus234

agreed cause I hated the CGI crap and the animtion looked like the same from armada

  • He must be a teacher or something, he's got eyes on the back of his head.

  • does he say comptine instead of combine

    well japanese series

  • It's "gattai!", Japanese for combine....

  • man the way they say "combine" or "transform" makes me laugh every time!! "coohhn-bine!!" brrrrttkusss!!

  • The music is cool !

  • symmetrical docking

  • FINAL FUSION!

  • I guess you don't collect any Transformers toys doy you

  • and may be if you don't like it then why do you watch this video

  • Then what are you doing here? Scram!

  • Nice video! Loving the combination sequence. Thankfully it has no dumb filler dialog to ruin the scene like most of the Energon/Cybertron transformation/combination sequences. Long live Anime and Transformers!

  • are you retarded? "y jap"? maybe its because all transformers cartoons came from japan?

  • The G1 and Beast Wars ones weren't...although the G1 toyline started out as a (failed) toyline from Japan called 'Diakron'. (Diaclone in Japan)

  • Bruticus....puts Optimus Prime super mode to shame.

  • i noticed that too!!!!!!!!!

  • these energon/superlink gestalts are the best 5-peice transformers in my opinion! Until Michael does devastator:)

  • TULANSUFOAAAAAAAMU

  • Whoa! (wolf whistle)

  • MY GOD HIS FACE LOOKS FRIKIN COOL

  • I thought he was called Ruination in the US version.

  • woa

  • Whoa! Dude did the US version have Bruticus too?!

  • Yes, called Bruticus Maximus. Also Constructicon Maximus (think: Devastator, JP name: Buildron), and Superion Maximus (JP name: Superion).

  • Cool vid.

  • WOW kool never seen this 1
