I see your point, but thats a really lame excuse. Besides, lessons aren't necessary to get good...jimi hendrix never took lessons, actually most of the greats never had a lesson in their life they just learned from listening to their favorite albums. Thats how I learned as well, and eventually I took lessons for a short time period so that I knew the fundamentals to teach myself later on. Its about motivation!!!

Obviously you have some sort of musical talent, which I really lack upon so lessons would be vital for me. I agree that a desire to play is neccesary but I just don't really see the point of paying 50 euro's per lesson when I could be spending my money otherwise.

You know I definitely had the same problem when I started. EVERYONE had a natural talent and I really felt like I didnt at all..I learned very slow and awkwardly but, most of it truly is a will to do it. Because I spent my lunch period in middle school in the school band learning everything I could learn, no matter how mundane. Dedication man, if you really like guitar you can learn it, its not too hard its just really awkward for the first year.

Let me school you on reality. Most guitar players learn on acoustic, which are great for songwriting as well. A guitar hero rock band setup costs about a hundred bucks plus tax. Thats an electric guitar package. Now, most GH/RB players have more than one game.. thats another 50-60 bucks for each game, by the time they buy each title thats SEVERAL hundred bucks...EASILY enough to buy a pretty dang good electric guitar and a practice amp.

my very first guitar was a FENDER STARCASTER STRAT SUNBURST secound guitar i bought old from my friend which was a HUNTINGTON acoustic i still prefer playing my Strat... the reason why i buy games like GH and RB is because sometimes i have no 1 to go jam with real instruments... so i would probably get bored playing by my self. but if i played RB or GH online i can jam with ppl and not get bored as fast or frusturated cause i cant hit certin notes.

shuld REALLY get one if he sepnt over 1 month and a half in guitar hero or rockband, and i mean a REAL guitar or bass or drumz (mic included ofcourse, dun wanna get vocalists ignored!) i recomend yu start with a regular strat for electric guitarists and any regular bass for bassist ( an acoustic guitar works too )

not like im a pro. or anything but its really cool and fun to learn guitar/bass/drumz, HECK yu can make a band of yur own!
