@OnderRoseExperience This series is not based on the adventures of the books. So they decided to do a crossover episode where they meet for the first time. In season 1-there were 7 Hardy Boys, 7 Nancy Drews, but they never crossed paths. They'll wind up meeting Nancy 4 more times in this season 2-though after the 2nd time there is a new girl playing Nancy.

Frank & Joe have a bad habit of trusting the first person they meet in these cases -- who turns out to be the villain. Character Judgement Fail. *sigh* (and that they could only get Paul Williams to play a "rock star" is really pathetic -- he wasn't even that popular IN the Seventies. And even for the Seventies, that crowd is way too small for a rock festival.)

@zenfrodo It wasn't so much that Paul Williams was "Popular" he wrote many songs that became "Popular" however so give credit where credit is due. Also this is a mid-late 70's TV series, besides the BS Nazi references and the usual Americans no nothing (and still don't generally) about Europe, everything in this series in the light of present day can be excused.
