you don't have to jump down the councilors quarters. i encountert this my self. after you got the elder scroll go back to the beginning and activate the hatch where you ended up at the guard quarters. now you can get arrested again. yield to the guards and pay 500 gold or go to jail.

I think I was at like level 40 or so. I can't remember. I made the character specifically for this video, so I hacked him a bit to fit the video itself. AKA, I cheated. Thankfully, I had done the quest long before I made this video. It was just a matter of routine at this point.

I must agree. While I found the Dark Brotherhood to have overall better storylines, this particular mission was plain fun. You had to do a lot of oddball stuff, and you really felt like you might just get caught.

lol i cant finish that quest because of a bug. apparently if you visit the temple of the ancestor moths before the appropriate theives guild quest, it prematurely activates the grey fox quests.

and at the final cutscene of The ultimate heist it permanantly freezes if your not a master theif in the guild. I was but it still frove for me. =(

Rent a bed in the merchants inn in the imperial city market place and then sleep in it for 24 hours. When you wake the theives guild messenger will tell you that the gray fox has summoned you.
