This is proving to be challenging piece for our Community Band. The Stephenson

High School Wind Ensemble do a wonderful rendition of Arabeque in this clip.

Question; is this High School an exclusive ' African American' institution ? I do not see a single 'token' non-black person in the orchestra.

@ireburg This is not an exclusively African-American ensemble. However the high school has a predominantly African-American population and is in a predominantly African-American community.

This is an amazing Wind Ensemble. It is a shame to have people up and walking around during the performance. Coughing and crying babies are reasons why so many high school bands do not reach their full potential. This band is more than ready to make it to the Midwest Clinic but audition tapes cant be sent when the audience isnt even paying attention. These players are so dedicated, they deserve to be shown off!!!!
