They weigh more than Jupiter, have the handling of a sack of vomit, and more turbo lag than I'd care to mention. The 6a13tt was a great engine, but it's wasted in a car that would've been amazing if it had been built ten years earlier. The skyline GTS is definately not amazing either, but an Rb20det is more recognised as a "performance engine" than an 6A12. the Skyline got beaten by a better car.

"Racing" straight line is stupid and boring anyways, so I leave it for you dimwits. FTO's best features are its amazing handling abilities, in most cars you need much more power to keep up with it.
Check cws205mi16's videos, Peugeot 205 GTi is fwd car, but easily keeps up with Mitsubishi Evo's and even with Lotus Elise in bends, and kicks the shit out of MR2 (Mid-engined RWD). I happened to own one (which is now my brother's car) so I know what I am talking about, FWD does not equal understeer. Well... french cars have allways had very sophisticated chassies so I am not sure if its fair to compare it with FTO :P
I was the owner and driver of the r32 gtst on this clip! Engine wise it was the rb20 turbo, it had only been remapped that week, first run of the day on no boost, with a full tank of juice and full sound equiptment. Later that same day I ran a 12.9 on a high boost. When it was mapped it ran 285bhp at the rear wheels whihh equates to about 320 at the fly wheel.
The fto had no interior except the drivers seat. Thanks for your comments, shut the duck up wankers! :-D

Lets evaluate the sercumstances first: The skyline was a GTS, not even a GTR. You both have the same engine displacement (2000cc) yet your FTO is much lighter. What did you expect? Theres nothing to be proud about man, you beat a fake skyline. I reffer to it as fake because its not a GTR, it doesnt have the magnificent RB26DETT engine and therefore should not even be near the track. A standard non turbo RB20DE has around 150-155 bhp and the RB25DE 190 bhp the ftos V6 mivec develops 200 bhp thats prety good for a 2.0L non turbo engine considering even the RB25DE is 500cc over is still 10 bhp less. the turbo versions ofcourse would kick the ftos ass but they are a higher class so you cant realy compare that
its a non turbo..GTS is non turbo..GTST is turbo.The RB20De is pretty much the worst engine for the skylines. Considering the weight of the car,they should have never put the engine in this car.Also his launch was terrible
I have a galant 6a12 mivec it has done a 12.75 quarter with only exhaust and pod these v6 mivec are fast fuckin fast for na...most volumetric efficient n/a engine ever made thats fact.

Guys, have to say that I was MEGA dissapointed when i went to pick up my MIVEC last friday....found the drive very sluggish and a tad lack lustre - i don't know, perhaps it was because it was the auto...but my r33 gtr was a beast in comparison! I was so disheartened that i cancelled my order and have just picked up my mr2 turbo t-bar!

I've watched this vid a number of times and the skyline is actually an r34, not 32! I used to own a r33 gts-turbo tuned to 300bhp......these cars can fly but they are quite heavy and without turbo upgrades can struggle due to this. My r33 was sold last year and i'm due to pick up my cheeky little mivec on friday - both are great cars for the cash!
Skyline GT-T's are shit...They come with a 2.5 non or turbo 150kw or so engines...It's not too hard to beat that. Put an r34 GTR up there and see how many laps it will do up and down the 1/4 mile before the FTO finishes.
1. It isn't a GTR. It's a skyline. A GTR would kill a FTO.
2. Even if the power figures were similar in stock trim, the Skyline has more torque and is therefore likely to have a better 1/4 time.

they are a v6 engine hence the ballsey sound to them. at 4800 rpm the bigger cam opens up then 5500 rpm they hit the 'mivec' and redline at 8000rp standard. at the 7500 mark they produced 200bhp. note this is a standard out of the factory non turbo engine. if you could not already tell i own one of these it does well against 2.0L and under turbo cars that are factory, plus their bigger brother supras

turbocharged drag cars have 2 or more turbos in a sequential configuration, meaning that only one is in use at a time depending on RPM so there is a fairly constant boost pressure (compared to a single turbo)
superchargers are almost as bad as a turbo, just without the lag as it relies on high RPM before it produces boost pressure
Hi Tyson No the car is not turbo'd and is lightly modified. Basic breathing zorst, air filter and de-cat, for that run i took out most of the non-essential things in the car like radio,speakers and seats :)

even a low end skyline doesnt run 15.2 it wasent the cars fault it was the drivers. and if it was a r32 skyline it would easily run low 14's and high 13's if it were stock.
Hi n2don theres not really much difference in terms of straight line speed when both car is pretty much stock but the integra weather DC2/5 is more tunable and obviously better on a handling circuit.

Why is it hilarious? I've raced about 4 Integra Type-Rs in my FTO GPX and smoked every single one of them... Maybe you should look up the stats for both cars? FTO = 180hp/tonne, ITR = 160hp/tonne.

I don't think you understand what I said. Those power figures are horsepower per tonne, not raw horsepower. And there's no way the ITRs I raced were auto because ITRs only came out with a manual transmission ;) Have you ever seen both of these cars race? Because I've experienced a few races first hand and each time the FTO won - how much more proof do you need?

its a non turbo..GTS is non turbo..GTST is turbo.The RB20De is pretty much the worst engine for the skylines. Considering the weight of the car,they should have never put the engine in this car.Also his launch was terrible

I have a galant 6a12 mivec it has done a 12.75 quarter with only exhaust and pod these v6 mivec are fast fuckin fast for na...most volumetric efficient n/a engine ever made thats fact.

Guys, have to say that I was MEGA dissapointed when i went to pick up my MIVEC last friday....found the drive very sluggish and a tad lack lustre - i don't know, perhaps it was because it was the auto...but my r33 gtr was a beast in comparison! I was so disheartened that i cancelled my order and have just picked up my mr2 turbo t-bar!

I've watched this vid a number of times and the skyline is actually an r34, not 32! I used to own a r33 gts-turbo tuned to 300bhp......these cars can fly but they are quite heavy and without turbo upgrades can struggle due to this. My r33 was sold last year and i'm due to pick up my cheeky little mivec on friday - both are great cars for the cash!

Skyline GT-T's are shit...They come with a 2.5 non or turbo 150kw or so engines...It's not too hard to beat that. Put an r34 GTR up there and see how many laps it will do up and down the 1/4 mile before the FTO finishes.

1. It isn't a GTR. It's a skyline. A GTR would kill a FTO.
2. Even if the power figures were similar in stock trim, the Skyline has more torque and is therefore likely to have a better 1/4 time.
Stop trying to troll lol, I actually have a GPX (first car) and although it's great and all. It may be one of the best FWD handling cars, but its no where near the as good as most RWD sports cars. The corning is just not as adjustable.

Lol the gearing to beat a FTO? It isn't as good as you might pretend it to be. It's not slow, but take it from me... It isn't very quick until about 5,000 rpm ish.
Skylines don't have the gearings? I don't know about that but they more than have the drivetrain, power and torque.
Again, any GTR stock would beat a stock FTO. Sorry. Even turbo skyline.

You can't compare the GTR to the FTO, they're cars in different leagues and were never meant to compete. The Skyline GT-T would beat the FTO, just that the driver of this skyline either messed up or his personal car is too heavy.
And yes my Zonda comparison/example was a joke.

they are a v6 engine hence the ballsey sound to them. at 4800 rpm the bigger cam opens up then 5500 rpm they hit the 'mivec' and redline at 8000rp standard. at the 7500 mark they produced 200bhp. note this is a standard out of the factory non turbo engine. if you could not already tell i own one of these it does well against 2.0L and under turbo cars that are factory, plus their bigger brother supras

lol people diont understand when your RPM in the slyline gets too 5000 for your turbo to kick in the GPX will be miles ahead, the turbo these days are useless, you need a supercharger to keep a GPX behind you NOT a turbo

turbocharged drag cars have 2 or more turbos in a sequential configuration, meaning that only one is in use at a time depending on RPM so there is a fairly constant boost pressure (compared to a single turbo)
superchargers are almost as bad as a turbo, just without the lag as it relies on high RPM before it produces boost pressure

Hi Tyson No the car is not turbo'd and is lightly modified. Basic breathing zorst, air filter and de-cat, for that run i took out most of the non-essential things in the car like radio,speakers and seats :)

No It's a 2.0 GTS single turbo he shown me the engine but to be fair to him he had 2 12" subs in boot n full tank of petrol, why he went onto a track wiv a full tank of petrol is any1's guess.

even a low end skyline doesnt run 15.2 it wasent the cars fault it was the drivers. and if it was a r32 skyline it would easily run low 14's and high 13's if it were stock.

Hi n2don theres not really much difference in terms of straight line speed when both car is pretty much stock but the integra weather DC2/5 is more tunable and obviously better on a handling circuit.

I agreed humanhater666 the FTO is not slow nor v fast and can do wiv bit more power but in terms of the version R being better I dont agreed cos the differences is better body kit, suspension setup and a lighter shell. At the end of the day the car comes down to condition, my car is faster than a lot of version R on the forum in terms dyno bhp or my 1/4 time.

Why is it hilarious? I've raced about 4 Integra Type-Rs in my FTO GPX and smoked every single one of them... Maybe you should look up the stats for both cars? FTO = 180hp/tonne, ITR = 160hp/tonne.

I'm not a fan of Hondas, but it's just a fact that an ITR is a much faster car than an FTO. And get your own facts straight mate, an ITR with a B18C produces 195hp. I bet the Type-Rs that you've raced were either: auto, not a type-r or just a crappy driver. Yeah, FTOs aren't slow, but ITRs are faster.

the ITR and the GPX are actually very close in a drag. It really comes down to the drivers.

I don't think you understand what I said. Those power figures are horsepower per tonne, not raw horsepower. And there's no way the ITRs I raced were auto because ITRs only came out with a manual transmission ;) Have you ever seen both of these cars race? Because I've experienced a few races first hand and each time the FTO won - how much more proof do you need?
