I always feel like when I come up with ideas for a novel that, yes, they are already too overused :P

@Moon720 here's some advice my aunt gave me when I told her the same thing (everything is overused and I can't get anything original): anything you write will be original, because there are no original IDEAS - only original EXPRESSION.

Bottom line: you want to write, then write. Whatever your write will be original, because YOU wrote it. :D
