While I have a lot of respect for freddie on this time he is wrong if you look at behind the scenes of the video they'll tell you that it took them 85 takes and 6 months to get the video right do you really think they would have invested all that time and effort just to cheat that doesn't make any sense.  And also if you were the cameraman going along at those two why would you stop the machine clearly kept going. I'm guys the IS NOT fake simple as.

It is one take, with several cameras. The cuts your seeing are the transitions from the different cameras.

OMG i watched the vid right after this one... and i noticed that at (3:16 of the music video) when the bowling ball is thrown up in the air, ones it hits the target on the wall/celling, it seems to be going faster, i took a second look to confirm it, PLZ respond to me saying that this is true... or that im just going crazy about that, but i do believe that that is an other cut in the film

Refraction happens when light travels through transparent objects. A curtain is not a transparent object. The light you see that goes through the curtain actually goes through the space between the fibers. And there is no refraction when light travels through the same material (air/void).

the light on the curtain isn't a new take, the light is refracted. the piano i believe is an illusion, because if you look at every thing else all the moving parts are at the same point, so if it was a new take, don't you think they would have fixed the piano. So this was one take (mind you not the first take).

It was filmed with more than one camera obviously, and the piano is the exact same piano as the last. Also the curtain was just a light change!

hey mr know it all. WE ALL KNOW IT WASNT DONE IN ONE TAKE. if you watch the video it obvious they've been sprayed with paint from 40 different takes. and certain things like the bowling ball part. theres a hole knocked into the wall from more than one take. also the curtains seem transparent and the camera came in at an angle so it could be the tv at the corner of the posters showing through. by the way im only 15 and noticed all this. does it make me a better person. no.

Notice that the two cuts are quite close together (25 seconds out of a 4-minute clip). And immediately after the second cut, the lifting of the posters has to be perfectly in synch with the music. It's highly unlikely that the machine could be timed quite this perfectly, so my guess is that they used the triggering of the rolling ball to synch the second half of song, and may have needed to re-shoot the section between the cuts, adjusting the machine to make it exactly fill that time interval.

Maybe its NOT that they DIDNT record it in one take, maybe its because they used more than ONE camera -- at the same time (dub) so they might have switched cameras/views while they were editing the video and different ANGLES made it APPEAR as if they had several takes. Anyway, its whatever...just dont make anymore "over 9000" type videos. Haha use ur props and effects more intelligently xP peace!

I knew about the cut with the curtain, but good spotting the switch with the bars! I didn't notice that. And what he means by uninterrupted take is that the entire machine goes through its whole cycle without cutting or switching to a different take to finish it off. Obviously they used multiple takes. Rube Goldberg machines are extremely tricky to execute. They take a long time to get that perfect take. And, as seen here, they obviously didn't get one perfect take, but they got one perfect vid.
