In the video he clearly does not actually jump over the car, he jumped next to it, and all the proof you need is in the video if you know what you are looking for.

When he jumps it, you can clearly see his shadow on the side of the car, especially when he is coming down over the rear. If he jumped over it, there would be no shadow of him on the side of the car.

Your arch must be high enough first of all, you need to tuck your calves flat to your bottom mid arch and point your toes straight back. If your momentum is directed into an upward flow instead of horizontal you will actually achieve a valuable amount of time to hover briefly at your jumps top height. This shouldn't even be an argument. Kobe perfectly timed a successful jump that completely cleared a car speeding underneath AND slightly BESIDE him. He would never try to go completely over it.
