hi neil, nice vid. i just bougt a cue from someone from the club. it wasnt used that much. Everytime after already 20min playing it gets sticky ass hell. im gonno try to get rid of the varnish myself as you told (using fine grade sandpaper), because its really annoying
@Webber147 each to there own and which ever you personally prefer to use .........i've even used a famous brand of furniture polish and that works very good too
100% right again on the cue maintanence I have a John Parris cue and know him well . just very occasionally I coat the cue very lightly with crude linseed oil over night perhaps once every 2 years . dampening the cue with water stops the central heating from drying it out I do this once a week when I clean the cue. I run a veterans club in Erith we charge 50p perhour for table time and have 5 great old tables great lighting and amarith balls. But no bar and only 25 regular players .
@MrRogersjon Last year we took £1400 on the tables , we don't even charge for the tea, and we are strugling to get members . So snooker is definetly in a mess. I have told all our players who can get on the net to watch your lessons ,but for some reason they think that they can play . I can recomend a rest called the k-rest .
@MrRogersjon That is ashame. I'm a newer snooker player, but I try to put in at least 1500-2000 forints (hungarian currency, about 6-7 pounds) of snooker a week
Its a great sport that can be played by anybody for any occasion.
