Tremendous rockers. Sounds like the Beatles no thanks to the late George Martin. Completely in sync with Wings and has a Live and Let Die vibe. Not better than the latter, but we're talking CT, not Mccartnety so you get the drift. Still Kick ass.....

This was when they jumped the shark. I saw them New Years eve eve in LA at the Forum. They blew the speakers on this first song and left the stage; they did come back later They were never the same. Tom had left and Robin parted his hair on the side. The fun was gone.
Love this album. In case some didn't know, "All Shook Up" was the followup to "Dream Police". And this one found them trying-and in some cases succeding-twds stretching their creative boundaries, while not losing their power-popping essence, and even got George Martin to produce it. Lotsa strings, too. especially on This song.
I first heard this song live in Rupp Arena, which at the time was the largest in-door concert arena in the U.S. It sounded thick as all hell and down right thunderous! Then i heard the album cut and was rather dissapointed. Certainly my favorite CT song but I prefer that live feel, especially down front in the middle of the fun.
If only bands today were only half as good. Any wonder everyone is on a p2p,free download trip...all that suedo "new crop" emo/pop-punk/bull*%#!;Screw the labels,I'm not paying 4 record execs wife's implants anymore... they are the weasels.
LOVE Cheap Trick. Remember when the guys wore those checkered outfits ? Saw them in concert in Boston and Joe Perry and Steve Tyler came out on stage.
Tom Left after this album, Pete Comita filled in for a while and Jon Brandt took over bass duties for the following release 'One On One.' I played the heck out of this album when it first came out. Love it!
Tom Peterson was on the All Shook Up album. This album is my favorite Cheap Trick album, up there with the first 3 trilogy: Cheap Trick 1977, Heaven Tonight and In Color.
unlike todays produced idol crap... this is a real singer with a real band that can play. never got their full dues to the music scene.

Dynamite track tricksters and produced by none other than the '5th Beatle' Sir George Martin himself.

All their cd up to "Next Position Please" kicked ass!
They were my first concert back in '82 for the "One On One" cd.
