martin luther king was a carnig man. he wasnig trying to give blacks a better life. partnig with him wasnt easy. imagine livnig in a world where people would be burnnig black churches. i was saddenig day and sobernig experience.
Racists are ignorant simpletons who believe pigmentation is reason for persecution. The spirit of a person has no color. Lord give us eyes to see people for who they really are.
@mushroomnegger I am as white bread as it comes. That doesn't stop me from thinking you are a worthless, soulless piece of shit. Learn to respect the dead.
If we wanted a so called "black President" even though color means NOTHING.... HE should have been our leader. I'd have followed him to the ends of the earth and back. A great soul once appeared among us and I'm thankful that I was alive at such a time as to have possibly breathed in the same air he once did so long ago. Rest in peace Martin.... and whoever actually pulled the trigger... well.... It wouldn't be Christian of me to say what I want to say.
I dislike the current president. I trust MLK would as well. The color doesn't matter. That's what he spoke so effectively for. I trust I will meet this loving leader in heaven.
Blacks comprise 13 percent of the national population, but 30 percent of people arrested, 41 percent of people in jail, and 49 percent of those in prison.
One in three black men between the ages of 20 and 29 was either in jail or prison, or on parole or probation in 1995.
Martin Luther King was one of the greatest speech makers ever. Some of his speeches are chilling, some are motivational, but there was never a dull moment in any of them.
I was a little white girl listening to this wonderful man speak on television. I was mesmerized by him and understand his cause to be that of every man woman and child's cause in the US.
You can see "it" in MLK's eyes that the end is near, I agree. He knew.
Yes, we do. And to truly respect, we all need to stop narrowing him down to one speech. He was more than the "I Have a Dream" speech. His views and activism was more complex than that. And, on a side note, as a long-time reader of his many writings and speeches, and a believer in what he preached, I find great offense in Hillary Clinton diminishing his work, and the work of the many who fought for civil rights. How dare she say it took a president to the civil rights act. She has no shame.
Check out the new MLK song "FULL JUSTICE" now on Youtube!!

Santana's "Somewhere in Heaven" is a great tribute to MLK, and it opens with a part of this speech.
