@helenhealer fyi other contries did that in the past and by that i mean being represent by foreighners. and if you are one of those "see it to believe it" then check out Luxenburg when they were represent by Vicky Leandros (greek singer) and they won the competition. and that is just one example of many. i dont recall them or anyone for that matter having any problem with it and that was many years ago too.

In Eurovision anyone can represent any country!

For example a Greek singer won the Eurovision with Belgium i think. There are so many examples like that! Its nothing new, so many countries did it before and now because Cyprus did it everyone is puzzled!
