@AangPictures Menu controled system. While there's no turns, it has the ATB Bar. Meaning, you gotta wait till the bar fills up to do anything. You don't do anything, the enemies will attack. You don't control your character, you just give him order from a menu, like every FF Game in the main series.

FF13 is like marmite, you either love it or hate it, the only reason I'm somewhat unimpressed by this is because, well, There are genuinely better JRPG's out there, anyone who was gobsmacked when Rudy severed his own arm in Wild Arms, or when Crono died in Chrono Trigger will agree with me here, It's in no way a *bad* game, It's just severely let down by Squenix's ego at the "blinding success" of FF12

I hate how all of my friends think this game sucks, it seems that everyone is all about online FPS games. While the battle system and linear game play would piss me off at times, the INCREDIBLE graphics and epic story line had me intrigued throughout. This wasn't just a game, it was a masterpiece and i expect part 2 to be just as good.

Everyone keeps saying FFVII is the best. And I mean absolutely no offense to Cloud and the gang, I know them(sorta-Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus) but personally I vote Final Fantasy X and X-2. Though XIII did awesomely too.

X, X-2, and XIII are the only ones that I have seen in my dreams. To be honest.

Beautiful game and music. I'm still playing through the story so I wonder why the last scene shows Vanille in a world that's not Cocoon. She can see planet Cocoon in the sky above here meaning she's somewhere else. I'm only 7 hours into the game and have already cried so much, it's beautiful.

Okay so I found out about final fantasy like last year and I realized that i'm way behind!!! there's 13 of them and I haven't even played one and I realized how hard it might be to find the first one let alone a system that can play it. I have only the playstation 2 and 3, the wii, I think I still have by gameboy advanced, my nintendo ds lite, and my grandma has nintendo 64 but I don't think she'll let me keep it. But I heard they're not a continuing story, but still help me!

FF7 and FF9 are the best, though - start with them.

ff13 was a good game but there was just one problem with it. The characters were anoying as hell and the actors couldn't act for shit except the black guy. Snow and Vallinte was so really annoying. I wished i could turn the voice acting to reading like in ff7 so i wouldn't have to listen to V whinny voice. and Snow talking about how much of a hero he was and sereah every 30sec

@bidbid3 That's what I say. Also many may not agree but the story, meaning cutscenes (in-game and CGI) is really the cake of Final Fantasy. Not bashing the gameplay considering it's good, but I always find myself not being able to wait until the next cutscene plays...I love FF for it's stories and beautiful art. I like mainly fighting and action/adventure games for their gameplay...I can't find much fun in RPGs. To me they're kind of a chore and I'm glad FFXIII Ultima has all the scenes listed..
