I've got an 8600 GT with a fanless solution. The bad thing about it is I can't plug it into the first PCIe x16 slot on my motherboard, because the heat sink on the rear of the card interferes with the heat sink on the north bridge. I can plug it into the second PCIe x16 slot and it works just fine, but then my south bridge really takes a beating (nForce 590 SLI).

On the other hand, I'm using the IGP in my current machine, so the point is kinda moot.

Both cards are old... Go with a oneof Gtx or Gts series... But if you really want to buy a one of the cards you meant, I would go with the 8600Gt.

Neither, For that kind of money you can get a 9600GT- make sure its the GT and not the GSO etc- the 9600GT is a kick ass card, its basically a 9800GT which slightly slower clocks and stream processors. You can change all that by simply overclocking the card which, the 9600 gpu's overclock like mad. Remember if you can help it get a 9600GT and no to the 8600GT if you can help it and hells no to the 7600GT.

Plus you have to have enough space in the case, and you gotta make sure you've got a power supply that is strong enough, though I think this card would only require maybe a 500 or 550 watt psu

Mine runs fine on a 305watt Dell power supply (Dell Dimension e521). It's a 8600GT XFX, but not the exact one in this video, mine has a fan. The fan must be 5 times louder than the rest of the computer though; it makes me wish I got this silent cooled one. :(

Well yeah, I'm not a big computer hardware expert but I would put a bigget PSU into my computer than a 305 watt one. You probably wouldn't need 500-550W:s but it one would be playing safe if they'd put a PSU in that's 500 W.

Loading speeds could mean a dodgyhard drive or could just be that the games you play now are much larger in size so take longer to load. Do a defrag so the game files are closer together for faster loading.

Voodoo 6000 FX is one of the coolest video cards i've seen in person. just because it had four GPU's and was over a foot long at a time when most cards were about the size of the slot.

I have a Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT and I know that's 'pretty good', but I'm thinking of getting a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 with a cool computer configuration to go with it. Now I might be completely off or way over the standard, but can those two video cards both play Farcry 2, Grand Theft Auto IV (PC), and Fallout 3? if your talking about Sli then you need to cards of the same series so 8500gt x 2 or gtx 280 x 2 the gtx 280 would play all of the game no problems i would expect at decent frame rates but i would recommend doing more reasearch cuz the gtx 280 is quite an expensive card and a big step from a 8500gt you won,t need that much power

What the hell, 32 stream processors? Theres a deal on newegg that has an EVGA card running 112 streams and its already superclocked at 650mhz, memory runs at 1900 I think. Its probably half the price as this one though, and the cooling on the fatality card is far superior.
