most of the game play is just driving around, from point A to point B. If you dont know the map and city, you are basically screwed. Like a badly designed taxi game with a mafia storyline.

If Mafia II had a free roam like Assassin's Creed (every bit of money you earn and everything you buy all gets saved immediately and if you die you just respawn nearby the area with all you stuff) and just some random side missions, it would be 200% better than it is now. Mafia 2 was ok, but the orginal kicks its ass. Where Mafia 2 is just a good game, the orginal is a classic. The sequel will never be. That is at least my opinion.
