  • I live in Georgia, south Georgia about 90 miles from Savannah, what would be the best way to raise Tilapia? Above ground pool or dug in pond?

  • @jardail I sent you a message, we really like the raised tanks. Have not tried below grade pools. We just could see any advantage for our model.

  • what type of feed is that?? Brine shrimps or home made feed??

  • @fenteng43 Primarily we use a standard fish meal. We are setup to allow customers to pick the feed used. We have some that are fed a soy based feed. They are also given lettuce and day old bread from a local bakery. The fish eat better then I do on some days.

  • oh it must be so ice breed fish that can be together like that, lol i have lots species i breed in ponds as well, but bettas are my specialty and i have use 3 indoor rooms cant use ponds sadly, but i was just imagining what it be like if i caould, lol

  • @ThaiTyBeta LoL Bettas, now that would be interesting to see a whole take full of those. One reason we chose tilapia very easy to raise when compared to perch or some of the other species we would have liked to start with.

  • @NaturalGreenFarms oh no i know trust me tats why so many people are doing it i mean those things been surviving in salton sea forever that tells you how insanely cockrackesque they are theyll survive aquatic nuclear fallout lol lol but my comment didnt make much sense i meant i breed bettas indoors and in own individual betta only hatchery rooms. then have large warehouse with 1,100 10-55 gl tqanks and in there and outside in ponds i breed others like shrimp snails tetras plecos crabs etc

  • #2- so i breed over 150 diff species from tetras to shrimp etc in the large wharehouse and outdoor pond ( earthen but concretete lined with collection centers at drains so easy to retrieve life except snails and crabs lol they all come to collection center at drains in outdoor ponds it is nice set up out there. and then aside from wharehouse and outdoor diff sized multiple ponds i have an office building with my office and 3 hatchery rooms that are betta only. bettas are my specialty main 1

  • #3- so the bettas are my specialty i bred them roughly 5 ish yrs before went crazy with 150 other species started as mostly still is betta tank mates species like dozens tetra species cory cats plecos small stuff like that. but i wish were able have tons together like you have thats awesome and effecicient!i only get do that with fry for first 5 months then have seperate break em all up but i wish could just have em like yours in my ponds god be awesome. if i had your setup i'd

  • if i had your setup i'd prob breed peacock bass ! they one my favorite fresh water fish in world! you familiar with them ? they popular now as exxotic pets and fetch 20- 80 or more depending on size and quality! but they are insane freshwater gamefish for fishing from amazon get like 25 plus lbs or something in amazon and agressive veeders and hard fighters! id love breed tons of em in a setup similar to yours man i could do some damage. theyre hearty but very temp sensitive ithink u kno them?
