@BakuSkyress @BakuSkyress No its in fact an actual statue, there is indead a hologram as you say, but the hologram serves onley to make the face move. It dissapears because wen the hologram is finisched, the statue quiqley drops down into the pillar its standing on before the ligts turn on again and this way it lookes like it haze vaniched :)

This ride is pretty freaky in real life. Cool, but freaky. Especially if you don't have a full understanding of Japanese. When the idol comes to life, it's pure nightmare fuel.

This ride shouldn't even be built if it is not with The Twilight Zone. Yes I know the reasons but it just does not seem as good at DHS, DCA, and WDS because they are themed with the Twilight Zone! Tower of Terror Rules!

Twilight Zone only appeals to a very small percentage of Japanese. So a new story and theming was developed, centered around an idol causing the owner of the hotel to vanish in the elevator.

It's really cool. On the 1st floor, you see the ghostly image of Harrison Hightower in the hallway. The idol turns to him and zaps him with its staff. Hightower is suspended in the air and blasted into the elevator in back. Then you see the elevator plummet. Moving to the Magic Mirror, it's very much like DCA's. You see a greenish glow and watch yourselves vanish. Then the image of the idol flies above in the reflection and you shoot to the top. Green lightning hits and starts the drop sequence.

That's funny how they have props just sitting out that you can touch. In the American versions everything is blocked by rope. Are people just more respectful in Japan? Because those gloves sitting on the check in desk would have been gone a long time ago.

Man the water tower is iconic. Its about principal and what it stands for. Plus you can see the entire MGM along with high structures such as the Magic Kingdom castle, Tree of Life, Summit Plummet, Spaceship Earth and more. I don't want to go on and argue about which is better, but please don't swear in on Disney ride video.
