sorry not sure if this was already discussed below :/ ... just wondering if the lyrics/words are printed anywhere? coz I LOVE THIS!!!!! absolutely amazing!!!! well written, well spoken... dramatically so!!! and perfect, briliant points!!!
This is the real stuff, not the lies you hear on CTV, Global and rags in Toronto. This is real. This is your country Canada,....take it back now. Or forever forget your country was a democracy in the next four...long ...years....of another Harper win.
id Take a leader who has lead us out of a recession who has a masters in economics than some other poli sci guy or a douche bag with a phd in history.
if you really think that an NDP government will heal Canada with its "social" agenda, look at the european countries with socialist governements. Greece, Spain, Portugal and Ireland. Left side politics. Billions in bailout needed. All because they were promised better Pensions, health care etc. If you want a better pension, find a better Job.
k some of the shit you said in this video is basically bullshit not unture but used in a way which is isn't truthful but i agree anyway fuck harper stop putting innocent people in jail
when i think about voting harper i literally think of the ppl in the prisons he opened and then there's no way i can vote for him
@dabomb1357 Not that I disagree with you, but picking fights with everyone doesn't help our cause. These are your fellow Canadians, and their views should be respected, and accommodated for. Please tone down the name calling and aggression!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This video is honestly the most disgusting political ad I have ever seen. It appeals solely and completely to fear. It will be a dark day if politics is ever reduced to this filth
@44Noobez you must be joking. everything the harper government does involves inspiring fear into canadians who want to vote against them. his entire campaign is built upon the premise that if we allow another party to lead our country, we will rapidly descend into anarchy. example: harper wants to expand the prison system, when crime in canada has been declining steadily. he's trying to make people believe we NEED more prisons, that we should be afraid of the world but he will keep us safe.
This video is honestly the most disgusting politcal ad I have ever seen. It appeals solely and completely to fear. It will be a dark day if politics is ever reduced to this filth
I support the dissemination of math, science, education and truth, rather than through pushing our economic system (which necessitates the use of military and industry) to unify people. I feel left-of-center parties support this, while right-of-center parties "conserve" the status quo, and hence why I will vote left. They are all human, all prone to power lust, but Harper is easily the most dogmatic.
Does anyone think that any other candidate will be any different? The whole political scene is just full of lies, corruption, and deceit. I'm 16 and therefore can't vote, but if i could, i still wouldn't. This is me seeing that as long as people are content to vote for the lesser of evils, no change will really ever come. On election day, ask yourself am I voting for someone who I want to lead us? Or for someone who seems to be the least evil? Just imagine the change if no one voted
@xHabsFan10x *** IF you don't vote the message heard is that you are 1. apathetic and 2. satisfied enough with the way things are - REALLY, think about it. IF you are truly disgusted with the choices you have, then go into that voting booth and 'spoil your ballot' - THAT does send a message, and spoiled ballots have to be counted and recorded/reported. -peace
I would rather vote for someone who has been held in contmept in parliment (he didnt deserve it). Than a socialist party who seeks tax and spend and expensive governemnt policies that I am gonna have to pay for. NOTHING IS EVER FREE SOMEONES PAYING FOR IT the NDP and Liberals are literally bribing Canadians with their own money. Attack adds are part of any election stop pretending the other parties are not guilty of the same shit. Also how is Harper a tyrant hes in a minroity governmentSLANDER
@MrAtranis He's a tyrant because he's in a minority government, and pulls every trick in the book to get his way over parliament, where the majority of our elected officials are. (You know, the people who make democracy possible) Contempt, prorogation, disrupting parliamentary committees, and a complete lack of accountability/transparency are all "legitimate political tools" to him.
@MrAtranis Didn't deserve it!? HE LIED TO PARLIMENT YOU IDIOT. He is a tryant because he's a power hungry, arrogant, douchebag who gets rid of people in his way. Our science minister, gone. The Cheif Staticitician, resigned. The womans groups who opposed policies, gone. Reporter, only allowed 5, pre accepted questions. Every government is going to spend oru money. The difference is, liberals and the NDP will spend it on education and healthcare, Harper will spend it on fighter jets and prisons!
@MrAtranis well how is harper a tyrant, ok well he does not allow interviews with the media unless HE chooses the media outlet, he is OUR fucking employee and a PUBLIC servant, this means he has to speak with whatever media outlet wants to talk to him, he wants to buy WAR jets, we are not a nation for war, we do not need them, fuck if you need it explained to you then you really should just move to america where you can pay for only what you want, and be conscripted in their next war
first of all the air-force and military is needed in any country without you have no security and should shoot yourself in the head just to make shit less stressful for everyone- its not only Harpers ideas hes just a face, an image for the conservative party there are a hundred brains behind "his" decisions. hes done a great job for the place we were put in. stop shitting your pants you do better... alone
They have one goal: get elected. That's their job as party leaders. There are pros and cons to for the parties, but all of this "harper is a dictator" crap I keep hearing / reading seems pretty indicative on how far the intelligence of the average Canadian has fallen. This, couple with the sad state of Canadian politics as it is (a separatist party in the US would be considered treason) creates a miserable situation. At least Harper knows what the economic term "dead weight loss" means...
I'm not saying I agree with everything Jack Layton wants or thinks he can provide. But I do think he's our best option for us middle and lower class. Taxing the corporations and people doesn't solve a 70 billion dollar contempt that NDP is planning.. but their services and opportunistic desires will help hospitals, school systems and more which I think is most important right now.
you may not like the conservative party but they are by far the best choice. As for the increase in spending welcome to the recession where the only way out is through increased gov't spending. Have you noticed how despite our strong economic connections with the states, canada seems to be one of the leading countries when it comes to recovery? Don't worry you can thank the conservatives later.
This video talks about saving Canadian soldier's lives and then turns right around and says we do no want give them the equipment they need to survive, as our current jets are falling apart. Maybe we should stop looking at what Harper did, and realize we're okay. After all the sun will still shine and whether or not we like it there will be a tomorrow for us, unlike so many of our global neighbors. Maybe we should start the the action, not the movement towards a better tomorrow. It is our world.
@moviematcanada why not house arrest for the non violents? instead of paying to keep them in a prison that does nothing more than perpetuate repeat offenders allow willing families to pay the bill and free up tax money to educate the youth... just a thought
(continued from other post) ... who like to pass back door laws to give police more power during the G20 summit, and have taxes raised without the public knowing. If were catching them on these, what are we not catching them on? NDP tax those with money in order to give money to those without it. This in my eyes is wrong especially because im an 18 year old student and am considered to have money. Immigrants come to this country and are being paid more than our elderly... somethings wrong there.
Why you ignorant fools hate on Harper is beyond me. The bottom line is that he has kept our economy well off during the recession. It has been hard on people, but it has been a lot harder in the US. Our fiscal and monetary policy put in place by the Harper government have gotten us, as a country, through tough economic times, and you retards don't want to give him any credit for that.
Others of you complain he hasn't done enough, but it's hard because other parties refuse to support him.
@peanutboy3 Um Harper is not the reason we are not in deep shit like the USA. Our regulations of the banks and corporations are the reason we are not in trouble. Harper did nothing. He infact wants to de-regulate the banks, which is what america does to their banks.
@VolcardoReviewer Regulation of banks is one small part of dealing with a recession. If you don't understand that, it's your own fault for being uneducated. Tell me, how many university level macroeconomics courses have you taken?
@peanutboy3 I've taken none.I just named one point that came right of my head. Whats your point? Still in University kid? Join the real world and THEN talk. Livin off your parents wages and going to economics classes at york or UofT doesn't mean you're better or superior to anyone else.
@VolcardoReviewer First off, I have a job, and I pay for my own university. Secondly, I never said I was superior to anyone. I was actually referring to the fact that Harper has a master's in Economics and you, someone with no formal education in economics, is criticizing the way he, and the rest of his party, run the economy based off random points you hear about from the media and spout off like you know what you're talking about. Get off your high horse and realize when YOU aren't superior.
@peanutboy3 By your logic Jack Layton knows more about politics than all the other candidates because he has a Phd in Political Science...Im no sheep that follows the media blindly. Im also no idiot that knows nothing about the economy. Last time I checked, you dont need to have a degree to know how the economy works. Harper only cares about the rich he does not represent the regular Canadian. Then again you're a conservative, so i really can't change your opinion on "King Harper".
@VolcardoReviewer That would be using my logic if I actually considered Political Science a real degree. You understand the economy? Really? Because you haven't said a single thing about it... Saying Harper is only out for rich people is blatantly wrong. Tell me something, how are keeping taxes lower bad for people? Because it cuts social programs? Not everyone uses those, and with the money people save on taxes, they can use that money to pay for the things they need, stimulating the economy.
@peanutboy3 Big government equals more social programs. I dont know how that doesn't help. You say not many people use those. Well I hope you realize we have the highest concentration of people at the age of 50+ then any decade the last century. Obviously those people need the help. Thats just one factor. Small government equals less taxes true, but it also opens the gate for private coporations to take advantage of Canadians. For example privatizing the garbage system.
@VolcardoReviewer Why do people 50+ need help? They should still be working. And just saying people need help is too vague. You need to realize that while many social programs are helpful for lost of people, the majority of them don't help that many people. If people have more money left over after income taxes, they can afford to put money towards things they need.
How do corporations take advantage of people? They provide jobs as well as goods and services people need.
Some places are dirty because consumers haven't shown companies that pollute that they're not ok with it. If they stopped buying products from those companies, they would go out of business, or do what the consumers want. If not enough people do anything, then not enough people TRULY care about the pollution. If you don't like certain companies, don't use them. It's that simple. If a company loses profits because they aren't "green" enough, they'll change to be more green. You don't need the gov
@VolcardoReviewer By that did you then mean the literal job of controlling waste? Like garbage men? Because it already is privatized. If not, what do you mean?
Also, you haven't addressed the issue of how corporations actually take advantage of people, because I gave reason supporting the contrary, and I honestly don't understand how a corporation takes advantage of people.
You also haven't addressed my point about how less taxes is better than social programs. Please elaborate your points.
@peanutboy3 I double posted. I already told you that social services are essential especially since this decade is the start of the post baby boom era. We have a lot of elderly people, they need some of the social services availbale. Also, Toronto's garbage system is NOT privatized, I dont know where you got the idea it is privatized. Also if you want to know how private corps take advantage of a average person type it on google. The list is too long for me to state all the reasons.
@VolcardoReviewer I never said Toronto was privatized. How am I supposed to know you're talking about Toronto? Secondly, I'm aware there are a lot of elderly people, but with money left over from lower taxes, people can save more money and have more money to put towards things they need, like the things that they would get from social programs, except it's by a who needs it basis, not just setting up a program that costs a lot of money that doesn't help enough people for it to be cost effective.
@VolcardoReviewer Also a vague reply like google it is bullshit. Corporations, in general, do not take advantage of people. They do what ever they can to get the highest possible profit because that's what shareholders want. If consumers don't like they way a company behaves, they can stop using that company. If enough people actually feel the same way, that company suffers lower profits and they have to change to become what consumers want. It's the consumers who, collectively, have the power.
@peanutboy3 Why are citizens always being defined as consumers? Consumerism is destroying the future. We need to get back to thinking about ourselves as citizens.
@navazguitar You clearly haven't read the whole thread between VolcardoReviewer and I. We are debating socialism and capitalism essentially, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Therefore, talking about people as consumers is basically the best way of doing so because other than voting, what is a citizen? A citizen is someone who lives in a country, and if they are old enough, have the right to vote. That's a citizen and that's it. Calling people citizens is unrelated to the discussion.
@peanutboy3 Being a citizen involves more than simply voting. It's how we are constituted as social beings. It involves rights and responsibilities and a sense of how we are all connected through systems of power (e.g., the state, businesses). And in reference to your point about consumerism - humans are consuming the planet to death. We have exceeded our footprint. Check out the science on that..
@navazguitar All the things you said about being a citizen are random ideas, not actual things people need to do to be a citizen. It's human nature to talk and interact with ppl. Check out the science on that...
As for consuming the planet, what your saying is that consumerism isn't the problem, it's the lack of caring from the people consuming. Some people care, others don't. It's not a problem with consumerism. If everyone cared, it wouldn't be a problem because companies would be more green.
@navazguitar With reference to people not caring, you might want to consider all the things you have in your life that are not environmentally friendly and things that you have but do not need. That is essentially what you're saying is wrong and it is what you are a part of. Preaching about it isn't going to solve the problem. Either care or don't, it's your choice, but don't be a hypocrite.
That's twice now I've shown that you're a hypocrite. You really want to keep this going?
@navazguitar Also, how is consumerism destroying the future? Consumerism is what keeps every country in the world working. You talk about how consumerism is bad and yet you're replying to my comments via a computer you bought with money that either you or your family has earned with a job. That computer would not have been available to you without consumerism. So get off your high horse so to speak and realize how hypocritical and ridiculous you're being.
@peanutboy3 Have you seen New York? You see how dirty the city is? Private company's simply can't do the job right. Government run organizations can always be accountable and this results in a more efficiency and quality in service. Also how do you not consider a political science degree a "Real Degree"? I don't get the logic.
What i believe is that this election is complete waste of money. The conservative government is leading in voter polls, and even before the election date they were leading. We are still coming out of a recession, why on earth do we need an election now? cant we wait till were at least out of this recession? This party system has to go. We no longer vote for a person we vote on the ideals of the parties. I agree with every party in some way but id rather trust Harper than the liberal government..
Oh yes because wasting billions on aeroplanes we don't need and even more money to build more prisons even though our crime rate is going down is WAY better.
The only things I hate about Canada are the idiots who vote for Harper.
@Quionic7 Learn a little before you talk... Harper has Kept us afloat during the recession, been there when we needed him, and i will vote for harper.
@Quionic7 and back door deals to steal our money and taxing students and working class individuals so we can pay welfare cheques to those who dont even attempt to get off it... they just try to coast through life without working. Spending money on planes creates more jobs in the military and strengthens us in a defensive way. more prisons are needed not because of crime rates but because what the inmates are going through now is cruel. 3-4 people in a cell built for 1?
@BlackOpsFlare that's easy to say when you don't know the person's story. Prison should be for people who've commited violent crimes... people who are actually a danger to society. Selling or growing marijuana = non violent. When these people serve their time in prison they enter non violent people and come out hardened criminals.
All parties are bad, its just about voting for the party thats the least horrible... By the way this election is already a wasted election Harper has been doing a great job.
@five5tar1 If you vote harper, I can only assume you're ignorant of everything he's done and plans to do. If you do know, and still vote conservative, I have absolutely no respect for you.
@Ashal666 He cares enough for me... vote who you want to vote for, believe in what you want to believe in, but harper has not failed us in the hardest of times... He has stood up and saved us from economic collapse. Harper has done a hell of a job saving this country...
@BlackOpsFlare Harper did shit. The reason we are not in trouble is because of our tight regulations on our banks and private coporations. THATS the reason we are not in deep shit. Not because of Harper. Infact he wants to de-regulate the banks. Which is what Bush let his banks do, which was the root cause for their recesion. Your ignorance is not shocking because you're just a mindless conservative.
@VolcardoReviewer Harper did not go through on de-regulating the banks because it wasn't him who was all for it, it was the conservative party itself... and how can i be a mindless conservative? I have voted liberal before and it ended up being a big mistake...
Thank you for making this I hate when people say "wasted vote" if everyone got off their ass and did a bit of research instead of just watching the smear campaigns on tv and just voted for who they believe would do the best job. Then they have a right to complain about how the government is screwing them over >_>
I agree with this video...But...Do you think Jack Layton, Who is currently beating the Liberals can come up with all of the money he has promised with spending more than harper...it may be on better things but he's going to put use further into debt. You don't know JACK shit. Don't vote for Layton will destroy this already crumbling country.
IF you dont vote harper, you dont hav a real job, and you're just plain retarded. There isnt a point trying to explain why to you, you wont listen. But know that you're an idiot and NORMAL canadians hate you.
@Jermman1 If you vote harper, I can only assume you're ignorant of everything he's done and plans to do. If you do know, and still vote conservative, I have absolutely no respect for you.
@dabomb1357 VOTE HARPER 2011! LIBS AND NDP AND THE BLOC HAVE COST US TO MUCH MONEY THROUGH ELECTIONS! HARPER CREATES JOBS AND STRENGTHENS OUT EVERY SO WEAK MILITARY ! WE NEED HARPER. WE NEED CONSERVATIVES.
@dabomb1357 Who' cares?? It's all the same in the long run.. Something YOU have to realise... ALL of you. Please, enlighten and try to argue this Equation because you lack the intellect to understand, and keep your mouth shut.
@challywang Equation? What are you talking about? It's not the same in the log run, thats just an excuse to be apathetic and lazy. If you don't care who runs the country, you dont' deserve to vote, you don't deserve to be a citizen.
@dabomb1357 I can't believe how stupid people like you can be some times.. You wont accept anyone who isn't like you. And you reject, everything anyone tells you, because your opionion is better than someone elses? Yeah, that's the "Root" of the problem, right there.
@dabomb1357 Go take your broke back somewhere else where you're actually appreciated in the communitity, because clearly you arn't doing any good by arguing your opionion over the internet.
@challywang That, made very little sense and was in no way related to, or a rebuttal to, what I said. Thus, it was utterly pointless and I would ask if you do comment again, it actually have a point.
@challywang Once again, you fail to make sense or actually reply to anything I've said. If your next comment is once again, an utter waste of space, I'm not going to bother replying,
@coduo1 Dollar is high!? that's all that matters? As a simple example Harper cut support for women's groups by more than 40%. do you know what that means? that means you (if you're female) or your mom or sister were in need of free or subsidized advocacy there would be 40% less chance of them finding such help. At that point they can take the high dollar and suck on it. what an excellent example of short sightedness that is the hallmark of the conservative nation.

if you really think that an NDP government will heal Canada with its "social" agenda, look at the european countries with socialist governements. Greece, Spain, Portugal and Ireland. Left side politics. Billions in bailout needed. All because they were promised better Pensions, health care etc. If you want a better pension, find a better Job.

44Noobez 10 months ago
@44Noobez you must be joking. everything the harper government does involves inspiring fear into canadians who want to vote against them. his entire campaign is built upon the premise that if we allow another party to lead our country, we will rapidly descend into anarchy. example: harper wants to expand the prison system, when crime in canada has been declining steadily. he's trying to make people believe we NEED more prisons, that we should be afraid of the world but he will keep us safe.

MiltonSnail1 10 months ago
Heh... although, in all honesty, I would invoke Occam's Razor, and say that the simpler explanation is that they like making themselves richer...

Just a FYI - Harper opposed the banking regulation that kept us afloat during this recession. We are in good shape DESPITE him, not BECAUSE of him.
MiltonSnail1 10 months ago 2
Why you ignorant fools hate on Harper is beyond me. The bottom line is that he has kept our economy well off during the recession. It has been hard on people, but it has been a lot harder in the US. Our fiscal and monetary policy put in place by the Harper government have gotten us, as a country, through tough economic times, and you retards don't want to give him any credit for that.
Others of you complain he hasn't done enough, but it's hard because other parties refuse to support him.
peanutboy3 10 months ago
@peanutboy3 Um Harper is not the reason we are not in deep shit like the USA. Our regulations of the banks and corporations are the reason we are not in trouble. Harper did nothing. He infact wants to de-regulate the banks, which is what america does to their banks.
VolcardoReviewer 10 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer Regulation of banks is one small part of dealing with a recession. If you don't understand that, it's your own fault for being uneducated. Tell me, how many university level macroeconomics courses have you taken?
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 I've taken none.I just named one point that came right of my head. Whats your point? Still in University kid? Join the real world and THEN talk. Livin off your parents wages and going to economics classes at york or UofT doesn't mean you're better or superior to anyone else.
VolcardoReviewer 9 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer First off, I have a job, and I pay for my own university. Secondly, I never said I was superior to anyone. I was actually referring to the fact that Harper has a master's in Economics and you, someone with no formal education in economics, is criticizing the way he, and the rest of his party, run the economy based off random points you hear about from the media and spout off like you know what you're talking about. Get off your high horse and realize when YOU aren't superior.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 By your logic Jack Layton knows more about politics than all the other candidates because he has a Phd in Political Science...Im no sheep that follows the media blindly. Im also no idiot that knows nothing about the economy. Last time I checked, you dont need to have a degree to know how the economy works. Harper only cares about the rich he does not represent the regular Canadian. Then again you're a conservative, so i really can't change your opinion on "King Harper".
VolcardoReviewer 9 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer That would be using my logic if I actually considered Political Science a real degree. You understand the economy? Really? Because you haven't said a single thing about it... Saying Harper is only out for rich people is blatantly wrong. Tell me something, how are keeping taxes lower bad for people? Because it cuts social programs? Not everyone uses those, and with the money people save on taxes, they can use that money to pay for the things they need, stimulating the economy.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 Big government equals more social programs. I dont know how that doesn't help. You say not many people use those. Well I hope you realize we have the highest concentration of people at the age of 50+ then any decade the last century. Obviously those people need the help. Thats just one factor. Small government equals less taxes true, but it also opens the gate for private coporations to take advantage of Canadians. For example privatizing the garbage system.
VolcardoReviewer 9 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer Why do people 50+ need help? They should still be working. And just saying people need help is too vague. You need to realize that while many social programs are helpful for lost of people, the majority of them don't help that many people. If people have more money left over after income taxes, they can afford to put money towards things they need.
How do corporations take advantage of people? They provide jobs as well as goods and services people need.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
Some places are dirty because consumers haven't shown companies that pollute that they're not ok with it. If they stopped buying products from those companies, they would go out of business, or do what the consumers want. If not enough people do anything, then not enough people TRULY care about the pollution. If you don't like certain companies, don't use them. It's that simple. If a company loses profits because they aren't "green" enough, they'll change to be more green. You don't need the gov
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 Thats not what i meant by "privatizing the garbage system".
VolcardoReviewer 9 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer By that did you then mean the literal job of controlling waste? Like garbage men? Because it already is privatized. If not, what do you mean?
Also, you haven't addressed the issue of how corporations actually take advantage of people, because I gave reason supporting the contrary, and I honestly don't understand how a corporation takes advantage of people.
You also haven't addressed my point about how less taxes is better than social programs. Please elaborate your points.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 I double posted. I already told you that social services are essential especially since this decade is the start of the post baby boom era. We have a lot of elderly people, they need some of the social services availbale. Also, Toronto's garbage system is NOT privatized, I dont know where you got the idea it is privatized. Also if you want to know how private corps take advantage of a average person type it on google. The list is too long for me to state all the reasons.
VolcardoReviewer 9 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer I never said Toronto was privatized. How am I supposed to know you're talking about Toronto? Secondly, I'm aware there are a lot of elderly people, but with money left over from lower taxes, people can save more money and have more money to put towards things they need, like the things that they would get from social programs, except it's by a who needs it basis, not just setting up a program that costs a lot of money that doesn't help enough people for it to be cost effective.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@VolcardoReviewer Also a vague reply like google it is bullshit. Corporations, in general, do not take advantage of people. They do what ever they can to get the highest possible profit because that's what shareholders want. If consumers don't like they way a company behaves, they can stop using that company. If enough people actually feel the same way, that company suffers lower profits and they have to change to become what consumers want. It's the consumers who, collectively, have the power.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 Why are citizens always being defined as consumers? Consumerism is destroying the future. We need to get back to thinking about ourselves as citizens.
navazguitar 9 months ago
@navazguitar You clearly haven't read the whole thread between VolcardoReviewer and I. We are debating socialism and capitalism essentially, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Therefore, talking about people as consumers is basically the best way of doing so because other than voting, what is a citizen? A citizen is someone who lives in a country, and if they are old enough, have the right to vote. That's a citizen and that's it. Calling people citizens is unrelated to the discussion.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 Being a citizen involves more than simply voting. It's how we are constituted as social beings. It involves rights and responsibilities and a sense of how we are all connected through systems of power (e.g., the state, businesses). And in reference to your point about consumerism - humans are consuming the planet to death. We have exceeded our footprint. Check out the science on that..
navazguitar 9 months ago
@navazguitar All the things you said about being a citizen are random ideas, not actual things people need to do to be a citizen. It's human nature to talk and interact with ppl. Check out the science on that...
As for consuming the planet, what your saying is that consumerism isn't the problem, it's the lack of caring from the people consuming. Some people care, others don't. It's not a problem with consumerism. If everyone cared, it wouldn't be a problem because companies would be more green.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@navazguitar With reference to people not caring, you might want to consider all the things you have in your life that are not environmentally friendly and things that you have but do not need. That is essentially what you're saying is wrong and it is what you are a part of. Preaching about it isn't going to solve the problem. Either care or don't, it's your choice, but don't be a hypocrite.
That's twice now I've shown that you're a hypocrite. You really want to keep this going?
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@navazguitar Also, how is consumerism destroying the future? Consumerism is what keeps every country in the world working. You talk about how consumerism is bad and yet you're replying to my comments via a computer you bought with money that either you or your family has earned with a job. That computer would not have been available to you without consumerism. So get off your high horse so to speak and realize how hypocritical and ridiculous you're being.
peanutboy3 9 months ago
@peanutboy3 Have you seen New York? You see how dirty the city is? Private company's simply can't do the job right. Government run organizations can always be accountable and this results in a more efficiency and quality in service. Also how do you not consider a political science degree a "Real Degree"? I don't get the logic.

At that point they can take the high dollar and suck on it. what an excellent example of short sightedness that is the hallmark of the conservative nation.
