@aliasgrl18 Because in a way the clone josie has as much right to have a family of friends and family. Knowing she's going to be alone until she dies is rather sad. She has no friends over there, no family. I know its all fictional but hey i'm human. I get upset for irrational things.

Yes, Josie's clone is an Observer. As she herself puts it, the janitor is "like an Observer of an Observer".

An Observer is to make sure no one goes back in time to mess up the future. Sarah, Vaughn's mother, was an Observer. And so was Josie's father (found out in the conclusion). They were both from the future.

Yes,it does explain it!!! I was always wondering why they looked so creepy,and the janitor always went around the corner and said stuff,like in that one episode,he said Marshall shouldn't have predicted the future........I also have another thing to add,could you please tell me what episodes you found that stuff out in??
