That is NOT how you acclimate fish to a new aquarium!!! You're supposed to place them in a clean bucket or bowl, using the water they came with from the store, then add a cup of water every 7 to 10 minutes for at least 30 minutes. This allows them to slowly get used to the differences in water temp, Ph levels, etc. Just floating them in the bag like that doesn't get them used to anything and uses up all the air in the water. The other way allows them to keep breathing and aerates the water.

ummm well that sounds like a waste of water, and plus their oscars their to big to be in the water they came from.
doing it the way i did it is easier since it gets them used to the temperature, and the pH is already the ph they need to be at [about 6-7]
and plus their still alive exept the shrimps since they were the food.
