This band is something the truest musicians are impressed by, and a standard that most musical endeavors never reach. You can't say that about most groups out there today. Bravo, Thrice.
@brooks450 there were only 3-5 camera persons there from what i can tell and it kinda seemed like it was something they threw together last minute. they played two nights in a row and only filmed the second night. anyway i think the camera persons were just hired people not familiar with the band. when i think of thrice i think of a BAND. the dvd is very dustin-centric and i refuse to believe that the band (esp. dustin) would have intended it to be that way. it was such an amazing night tho!
these guys are the fukken best ever. they progressivly got better with every album. they defined the post-hardcore genre and now they are in a league of there own. just listen to beggars. these guys will never win a grammy or get the recognition they truly deserve simply because they never crossed over to the mainstream bullshit u hear nowadays. but at least true music fans will always appreciate this amazing band. ive seen em twice and they are just as good live.
Thrice started off with a genre, but then they kinda unscrewed the hinges on the doors, started remounting. Pretty soon, they were cutting new holes in the walls and by that point, genre started to apply song by song, rather than within even the same album....and "Beggars" is coming sooo soon :D
Well, the digital download came out already. I have that, but I'm still waiting for my CD to arrive from Vagrant UK. The predownload when purchasing the CD was nice though, get to hear it first.
soooo goooddd

Teppei's riffs at the end is my favourite segment of music, in the history of everything.

I completely agree. But a little piece of me wishes they would have included more material similar to stuff on the Artist in the Ambulance album.
