On X360 I was scared shxtless of this guy, my friend having made him out to be hard, which I suppose he should be. ^^ I defeated him in 2 turns. Rush, Torgal, 3 soldiers. Caedmon, Emmy, 3 soldiers. Baulson, Glenys, 3 soldiers.
If you've grinded he's not hard. Weapon arts = win.
and 2, is that Paris I see in one of your unions? Around 2:30 ish with the two handed weapon. Also it is cool to see that the Duke of Ghor can join in and be a leader of a union.
the fact u beat this guy on such a low battle rank is well good where as if you had been br 100 most of your characters would know their weapon arts wich would just make killing him so much easier

You have BR 60, but you have like 1,000 more HP per union than I did at BR 65 and a bunch of moves I never got (rift cleaver, third eye, tinctures, retribution.) I wonder how?
@Lavitage this depends on how you engage enemies. if i remember correctly and link at a max of 2 enemies at the same time you can get stronger without sacrificing much BR levels. you probably linked a lot more than i have thus ending on a higher BR wiht weaker characters.
there was a huge Battle Rank system guide somewhere on last remnant wikia or gamespot forums. you should search for it!
@Lavitage actually, linking multiple monsters in the PC version has very little effect on the BR gain rate. Its the exact opposite on the 360 version. It really depends on how you trained your units (to gain stats at a great rate, fight enemies that give the command "Dont be Afraid to Die"). Right now, I'm up to Darken Forest and my Caedmon team which has Caedmon, Blocter, and Baulson, has about 5,000 HP and an average of about 89 for STR.
thats not modded ^^ but hes always lucky xD if they would'nt dodge that much they did... he would be dead after the first 10 minutes ^^ but really good gameplay though ;) keep it up
The BR does not matter in this game the stats does Lower the BR and the higher level monster you kill the better stats your characters will receive when you beat the monster you can tell when a monster is a strong level one when the morale bar is extremely low right at the start of battle
I'm BR 43 and I can make it to Rain of Blades but by that point I'm barely hanging on and I've never survived past that. I think I can do enough damage but I end up spending too much time just trying to get over his last AoE rather than attacking him. Also, Irina is a healer and nothing else, which works fine for now but it's always her that gets a special attack, not someone more damaging. I think it might have something to do with Violet + Liafort in her union, unless that affects everyone.
Just after posting I tried again. I managed to get to round 9 and he'd been flashing since round 6. Emmy got lucky with Hundred Flowers three times in the battle, which was lucky since I wasn't doing much damage with having to keep healing. Her union had most of its HP and if I'd got Hundred Flowers again he'd have been toast. Sadly I didn't and he used Hand of God. Emmy's union was the only one that had survived past round 6. With more leveling and some luck I might be able to beat him soon.
Sorry to keep commenting but I killed him at BR45! I don't know if it was luck or if I'd managed to really up my stats in the last two BRs. I was mostly battling Bai Ze but that takes ages and I was beginning to want to just cheat my way past with a trainer. I just decided to try the Eldritch Dragon again and killed him, then I battled a bit at Mt. Vackel for surprisingly decent stat ups, then I fought Heaven's Lord. I'm just pleased that I don't have to keep grinding and that I can move on now.

Currently at BR 95 and I still can't take the Fallen down. I have done few tries, about 5. What weapon does your units using? I haven't upgrade much, just few relics and drops from Enlighten 7 on the 6th Base quest.
all settings are maxed, shadows turned off(they just screw your fps totally). system specs are c2d e8400, asus nvidia9600gt, 4gb ddr2, windows 7 64 bit.
i usually play in 1680x1050 but when recording i change to windowed mode 1280x720 then there are no bars on my screen and i can play with 80fps so recording goes at 40fps~. if i record at 1680x1050 i wont even break 25fps when recording.
windows 7? wow guess im gonna try the beta huh, coz vista sucks, eat lots of resources etc... anyways, i love JRPGs but i kinda find this game a little hard (or little confused sometimes)hehe, maybe im just get used with Final Fantasy series, i hope they release a pc version of FF13, thx for the reply, to be honest i got bored in this game at first coz im expecting something awesome, until i watch your vid and the battle is awesome! hehe, well i just started yesterday, i suck in this game man
i'm glad you started liking the game again. however if you got bored at the start, it will get a lot more boring later on though, endless grinding for items :(
windows 7 is ace, far superior to vista. the game is bugged with windows 7 though. you have to play with 1 affinity if you use a c2d processor else the loading times will be over 20 seconds.
they should really release a ff for PC yea, but im afraid thats never gonna happen. or they'll just make some crappy real-time final fantasy forpc

1: The Fallen is an absolute BEAST!
