  • Fuck john cena

  • DUSTY RHODES IS A FAT WINDBAG SACK OF SHIT WITH A GREAT BIONIC ELBOW

YEAH THATS RIGHT SCHAVONI BIGGEST EVER YOU GEEK... I MISS WCW

  • starrcade '95 was good also also the ones in the 80's as well and the one in '93 too hands down

  • the last great moment of wcw...........ruined by hogan's ego

  • @JbAngleSlam now he's gonna run TNA in the ground

  • that theme was so bad ass for starrcade....and best starrcade i ever ordered

  • sting is coming to the wwe

  • @wasif514 I hope so Sting is the man

  • @wasif514 and 9 months after we know it was taker...

  • The crown jewel of Wcw is coming to take out Taker

  • 2-21-11 The Man called Sting finally comes to the WWE.....

  • Crow Sting was money.

  • thats what happens when the wrestlers have contracts that allow them to dictate policy. My opinion, thats all

  • thats what happens when the wrestlers have contracts that allow them to dictate policy. My opinion, thats all

  • It seemed like it would be a big show, but like WCW always was, the bigger the show, the more awful the screw-up. A lot of fans had been losing interest in WCW before this, but this definitely added to it....not a bad show quality wise, but just nowhere near what it should've been when you consider what it was supposed to be, the decisive battle in the WCW-nWo war

  • How come this much effort for a storyline cant go into todays wrestling.

  • I was 6 years old when my brother's friend taped this for me. I remember it like it was yesterday.

  • Starrcade 98 could've been as big if it was Hogan Vs Goldberg for the first time instead of on Nitro

  • wow, I was exactly 4 when this was going on

  • @angrynostolgiamann12 i was 12...

  • you meet sting in a dark alley like that, your pissing your pants

  • This should have been the night where WCW won the war with the WWF. Instead, it was the exact moment where WCW began its downward spiral.

  • Damn if WCW didn't go down the toilet the next year, Starcarde would the fucking WrestleMania of WCW...

  • Damn, this promo gave me chills....

  • @ttudude I remember it from back then.

  • That ring was too damn small.TNA has the same size ring and Nash could stretch from one end to the other and make the tag just by laying down.

  • Biggest show wcw had and aside from sting, ddp, and zbysko all the winners were heels

  • Starrcade 97, my second favorite Starrcade just behind Starrcade 83. The reason why I say it is because they had the best wrestling, lot of blood, and a legendary cage match. Starrcade 97 was the last great Starrcade ever.

  • @AMEwrestling yes it was!

  • Where the hell is part 2?

  • Must have been the best WCW PPV of all time.

  • @K7K7K1 could have been... they fucked the main event

  • This PPV should have put WWF out of business

  • Hogan vs sting was the biggest hyped match in wrestling history. Transcended the wrestling industry in the time. Good old days.

  • the american dream dusty toads

  • Dusty on commentary is just southern lawls

  • god.....it seems like during these days, EVIL ENTITIES ruled the wrestling world.....

Undertaker and Sting are THE BEST EVER

  • Got damn! American Dream is killing me lol. Shit him on the mic is worth the money for this PPV lol

  • Wow, could WCW book a major card! One-third of the advertised matches didn't take place and the few that did were ultimately worthless. Who could forget the slow, boring main event with the screwy finish and the completely deflated crowd?

  • Sounds like dreams talkin gah gaaaaaahhh to me yes hand up the mic braw its not you

  • i believe one of the best wcw pay per view. bishoff had alot of talent but didnt promote his talent the right way thus leading to go out of bis. two icons sting and hogan in a ring was one of the biggest matchs at the time and maybe still could be. Nwo good idea but went a little to far.

  • is that sting or vampiro

  • @aglewi41

    sting retard?

what kind of question was that.

  • what vampiro and sting look very much alike. besides i didnt follow wcw.

  • @aglewi41

ya but when did vampiro ever face hogan in starrcade ? its common knowledge, this was wcw's greatest year and this was there greatest mainevent, the build up for this atch was close to a year.

  • @aglewi41

You missed some real good wrestling.

  • what the hell is the american dream talking about.... he should hang up his microphone

  • where's part 19 at?

  • @sdbsingle1 fuck that, wheres part 2 at?

  • The intro just pumps me up

    Sting getting ready

'Its time to end the war once and for all'

  • this right before it became wcw/nwo

  • This right here is a classic Starrcade PPV. My favorite of all time

  • I remember watching this live i was so pumped up this is the best ppv ever

  • Nash refused to job... hogan rubbed off on him...

  • Nash had a mild heart attack that day. Think before acting like a smartass.

  • Whether that's true or not, it was the case after Nash became the booker.

  • maybe so, but hes not the only one who's been guilty of that over the years... mr flair is always quick to point out how horrible nash was when he had the pencil, yet he was doing exactly the same thing years before nash even got to wwf for his diesel run. just as many ppl have had words for flair because of this as nash has had. kevin sullivan was another one. in this particular instance, though, the man suffered a heart attack. in the end active guys shouldn't be allowed to book..bad idea

  • i was there i was 2 thought

  • As much as I liked 97, no other Starrcade can top Starrcade 83. Why? Abdullah the Butcher, Carlos Colon, Roddy Piper, Greg Valentine, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Great Kabuki, Ricky Steamboat, and the Brisco Brothers. How can you top that? I consider this #2 in my book.

  • lol no one remembers 83 give me a break most of those guys were garbage it was Hogan in the 80's who made wrestling to where it is come on bro

  • How were most of the guys garbage? Hogan made SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT! There is a difference between sports entertainment and wrestling. Don't tell me to come on if you can't research your wrestling properly.

  • yeh but his creative control bullshit ruined WCW, Im saying he help lay the grounds and helped WCW reach big things, but This was Stings company, the fans Never gave hogan the reaction as big as sting as he entered the ring, especailly around this time.

  • thanks for the upload. this is my fav WCW PPV EVER.

I could only imagine what Vince could have done with this card at the time.

Just wish "he Weasel" was there to commentate this match, poor dusty seems to get his words crossed up alot.

  • mine too....

this was the best starcade ever when i was growin up.

  • man if only this was wrestlemania this would have been ten times better vince would have made sure of that

  • The Monday night before this, the NWO took control of Nitro and Brain begged Bischoff to be apart of the NWO. So I guess they wanted it to look like he was actually apart of the NWO.

  • Where's Bobby The Brain Heenan?

  • People thought he was with the NWO.

  • @GarfieldVsSnoopy People thought he was with The NWO.

  • WCW 4 EVER!!!!!

  • This is the biggest show WCW ever did

  • Best thing about that one was the opening triple threat.

  • @dajewfromdau this was the only PPV i paid for with my Xmas money when i was younger

  • its the good stuff like this that makes me miss WCW

  • thanks a lot for posting!!!

  • that was a awesome opening promo oh my god!

  • Thanks!

  • it would of been better to have bobby the brain heenan instead of mike tenay....97 golden days of wrestling!!

  • Where is Heenan?

  • one of the best starrcades i ever watched

  • true but starrcade 1998 was better

  • I liked 88 pretty good mysef

  • I miss WCW, the mid to late 90's were a good time to be a wrestling fan.

  • @anvilofcrom this and the NWA in the mid 80's.

  • @retrofann1 Yeah, I still watch some of the old NWA stuff....great wrestling, not sports entertainment.

  • @anvilofcrom true that!

  • @anvilofcrom no it was the best time!!! before it was lame after it even gotten lamer... xD

TNA is takin over if its going that way it does now....

  • wow !!
