britishbulldog, they were The South Wales Borderes and you're right, they won the highest number of Victoria Crosses for a single action. Stanley Baker, the producer and leading actor was a patriotic Welshman and actually owned the VC won by John Chard, the character he portrayed in the film. It was the first film he ever produced and a fine tribute to the bravery of both sides.

@DaiRhys94..the regiment was an English one, it didn't change to welsh till a few years after this battle but it did have around 22 welsh men in its regiment.

This regiment had many englishmen and scottish, more so than Welsh but they simply changed the name to be Welsh. I can't remember what they were called, but this regiment got the most VC's ever!

I have Plato DVD Ripper Professional

its really easy

and it may just be a trial version but the only difference between the trial and the real version is that you can only rip your DVD in 15 minute installments

but then when you are using it for clips you dont really want anything half that long

and another downside is that it wont let you get rid of the close captioning so my upcoming LOTR vid is going to have close captions which kina sucks but its better than nothing
