My daughter Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp Bx NY. Both her lungs were unable to stop bleeding. Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her. I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed God in the supernatural power you gave Moses I ask you to close my daughter's lungs like you did to the red sea.. Drs call it miraculous. I say b/c I dared to believe I received.Drs encourage me to write a bk.
There is one desire that we have and that is to be with Him...... He gave us His Life..... what can we prove? He's my Savior...... All I could do is imagine Him....... Loving God, I keep falling under the pressure of my friends to drink. I do sometimes, but not to the point of being drunk, anymore at least. I used to not to ANYTHING. Not even drinking. I don't cuss or smoke and I'm still a virgin and will stay that way till marriage.
I'll always need you God. But somehow in my mind I can't find myself stopping drinking, even though I rarely ever drink. I feel bad after I do the next day. I need advice.

For relworp69 - Why you are spending so much time responding to these forums and what are you doing on this site (One Desire) if you don't believe in God? If you don't believe, why spend so much time rebuking it? I think whether you admit it or not, you do believe God exists & are trying to convince yourself that he doesn't. TheFirstAqua, I'm not sure which comment you were responding to because I haven't even been on this site for more than a month. You seem disheartened by my comments though. My advice to you is to refrain from viewing user comments when they offend you. I have much respect for people who deserve it, but christianity, among other religions is hurting the world. If I am trying to accomplish anything on the internet, it's to simply get people to think deeply about the faith they hold so dear.
There is really no point in asking that question. I've raised it plenty of times on here. It's always the same answer. The crusades, the Dark Ages, etc. But what non-believers don't realize is that those aren't true Christians in those times doing those things. They are as the Lord himself warned of "Wolves in sheep's clothing" The same as the Priests who did the things they've done. Same as any person who has done something morally wrong, and tried to use Christ as the crutch for his reasoning.
Just because someone knows the Word, and attends church every single day he was alive, does not make them know God. So atheists shouldn't judge Christianity by the few bad seeds. As Christians shouldn't judge atheists because of the ones that have ignorance and won't try to listen to the Word with open heart. Christians instead of bashing them when they come on here and leave their rude comments, accept them, respond to them with the same love, and commitment that you have for the Lord.
Because why would anyone want to believe in something when the person explaining it to them doesn't lay their life down for that cause. If that person doesn't live their life according to that Word. You're absolutely right! A "Christian" is not something you label yourself. A Christian is a follower of Christ and unfortunately many walk around saying they are Christians but do not "live a life that is worthy of the call of Christ". The bible tells us that "faith without works is dead". It is also very unfortunate that those who don't know Christ reject the truth without giving it even a second thought.

Yes God Knew Eve was gonna sin. He knew it.. if eve had not sinned there would be no reason for Christ to come down to earth and die for our sins because the world would be perfect. No one except for Jesus Christ can be perfect ! God has enormous plans for all of us, we just have to have faith and we are not forcing you to love the Lord. Christianity is not a lifestyle... It is us committing our self's 120% to the one who died on that cross to save us.

He loved us so much that he sent his son down on the cross. When Jesus died, God had to turn his back on Jesus since he was so covered in sin from taking all the sin of the world. But after three days, Jesus rose again and is in the right hand of God and is preparing a place for us.

You keep on asking how can God die or send Jesus to die for our sins if He is immortal. Let me ask you if you (seeing that you think that you do not need God and that he did not give up anything) if you could go to hell and stay there for about say 30 years, suffering with them and then die so save them after you saw what they did. Will you do that? Well that is what Jesus did for us. He came to earth(hell for Him) and died so that we can be saved.
i don't think being on earth was hell for Jesus. I think there were things about it He loved. But there was also great suffering. The final suffering of the cross was probably very hellish. But the suffering He did was purposeful.
God's emotions are not like ours. He does not change. So He is always loving, and always joyful and always angry with sin. When you think of Him in these terms you must agree we are dealing with a being we cannot understand.

Loving God, I keep falling under the pressure of my friends to drink. I do sometimes, but not to the point of being drunk, anymore at least. I used to not to ANYTHING. Not even drinking. I don't cuss or smoke and I'm still a virgin and will stay that way till marriage.
I'll always need you God. But somehow in my mind I can't find myself stopping drinking, even though I rarely ever drink. I feel bad after I do the next day. I need advice.

There is really no point in asking that question. I've raised it plenty of times on here. It's always the same answer. The crusades, the Dark Ages, etc. But what non-believers don't realize is that those aren't true Christians in those times doing those things. They are as the Lord himself warned of "Wolves in sheep's clothing" The same as the Priests who did the things they've done. Same as any person who has done something morally wrong, and tried to use Christ as the crutch for his reasoning.

Just because someone knows the Word, and attends church every single day he was alive, does not make them know God. So atheists shouldn't judge Christianity by the few bad seeds. As Christians shouldn't judge atheists because of the ones that have ignorance and won't try to listen to the Word with open heart. You're absolutely right! A "Christian" is not something you label yourself. A Christian is a follower of Christ and unfortunately many walk around saying they are Christians but do not "live a life that is worthy of the call of Christ". The bible tells us that "faith without works is dead". It is also very unfortunate that those who don't know Christ reject the truth without giving it even a second thought.

I know perfectly well what I'm saying. Do you? How do u know that god loves me so much? Did he talk to u or did u read it in a book?... because if it was the latter, u didn't read it very carefully. The bible makes it very clear that only believers in christ go to heaven. The rest of us non-believers, or believers in other gods are to be sent to hell. Doesn't sound like a loving god to me. Maybe u should read a different book, like The God Delusion... unless you're afraid to?

Most christian denominations preach the holy trinity, meaning god exists in 3 forms. According to this belief, god & jesus are the same. So god, being immortal, didn't really sacrifice much during his crucifixion as a mortal man because he knew he would not die. yeah GOD's immortal, but he gave his life for us because we, the people are sins(like for ex. we had/have a small heart, jealousy, etc. there's alot more to say) for that he gave his life by making himself as a human being(he lived like other normal human), so that he can die for us.(i'm not sure if i'm saying it clearly to u).

Yes God Knew Eve was gonna sin. He knew it.. if eve had not sinned there would be no reason for Christ to come down to earth and die for our sins because the world would be perfect. No one except for Jesus Christ can be perfect ! God has enormous plans for all of us, we just have to have faith and we are not forcing you to love the Lord. Christianity is not a lifestyle... It is us committing our self's 120% to the one who died on that cross to save us.

Okay let me get this straight. Go knows all. He knows every possibility. He knew that Eve was going to sin. He knew, but he still created us since he loved us. He loved us so much that he sent his son down on the cross. When Jesus died, God had to turn his back on Jesus since he was so covered in sin from taking all the sin of the world. But after three days, Jesus rose again and is in the right hand of God and is preparing a place for us.

God let eve choose either follow Christ and live a holy life or to listen to the devil and sin. God does not force people to be christians or to follow him he gives you a choice. You keep on asking how can God die or send Jesus to die for our sins if He is immortal. Let me ask you if you (seeing that you think that you do not need God and that he did not give up anything) if you could go to hell and stay there for about say 30 years, suffering with them and then die so save them after you saw what they did. Will you do that? Well that is what Jesus did for us. He came to earth(hell for Him) and died so that we can be saved.

i don't think being on earth was hell for Jesus. I think there were things about it He loved. But there was also great suffering. The final suffering of the cross was probably very hellish. But the suffering He did was purposeful.
God's emotions are not like ours. He does not change. So He is always loving, and always joyful and always angry with sin. When you think of Him in these terms you must agree we are dealing with a being we cannot understand.
