Congress proposed a freeze in cost of living increases until 2012 a year ago and Obama signed it! That's 3/4 of our pay raise. Meanwhile, inflation keeps rising(Cable, electric, food, etc). That CPI number is due to housing prices. These homes were over priced to begin with and needed to be brought down to their replacement values. This real estate market correction was long overdue.
