I saw a movie long ago,and I can't find it nor remember the name.Story is about a kid who grows up on Earth,but at the age of 18,and old man comes to tell him he is the ruler of a distant world in the universe somewhere.He gains control of three robots which can merge into one bigger robot.And alien forces learns of this boy and his heritage,and launches an attack on Earth.Mid 80's movie,klinda looks a bit Anime,but not sure if it is.Anyone have an idea about this movie?

Can anyone tell me what the robot name is on 4:30 and similarly on 5:45? i used to watch it as a boy in the late 70's when i lived in Taiwan. My Chinese classmates said his name was something like Woo De Shechin Kong, (as in King Kong).
