Thank you for the nice video! It reminds me of the life style of the Bulgarian immigrants (in Argentina) who settled in San Telmo between the 1880's and the 1930's.
Thanks for the Good Luck, and Good Luck to you too!
Ok!!! and sorry, they are lost dancers, no loser dancers, I love all people when dance and enjoy than you, I express badly, because my english is very bad, my distand friend....
Hello Friends!!! This is not "Chacarera", is a "Escondido" , dance tradicional all around Argentina. The dancers are lossers, because de "escondido" is most large, but similar rithm. Performance by Nestor Garnica, track "En la ceniza una flor". Surfolk Buenos Aires. Argentina-
Of course the dancers are "losers" - they are people from the street on the street - in love, drunk, some without rythm, others don't know the pasos - but you know, that's why I felt quite at home there, because we all enjoyed the evening! ;-)
Bolivia Chacarera is not Santiago del Estero (Argentina) Chacarera, are diferent. Here in Argentina there is a huge part of Andes Range mountains, actually the higher mountains are in Argentina (like Mercedario, Piscis and Aconcagua) and we only share some part of the cultural aspects of bolivian cultura. Andes culture is very general idea, there are worlds living it that huge range of mountains.
Just a comment: Chacarera is not a Andes rithm, it is from central area of Argentina, although there are some influences related Chacarera have not conection with Andes music. And Chacarera communicate passion, ok, but not much relate to happiness... "latinamerican happiness" is a cliche.
Thanks for your response! Well, I'm not the expert here... But happy were the people dancing - that's why I mentioned it - and some even showed passion for another ;-) Chacarera is also danced in Bolivia - that's why I assumed it's spread in the Andes. Saludos desde Trondheim, Noruega
