From the comments, I expected Ant's performance to be overly energetic but it's quite the opposite, as it was rather underwhelming and a bit irritating with his odd gyrations. His style just didn't mesh with the other acts and while I tried to like it, I found it.. annoying. much of the audience as well seemed put off by it.

yes, indeed martha reeves truly lost her voice and couldnt sing anymore. her later performances up until her death were indicative of that. She sounded terrible.

Martha was singing fast because she couldn't actually sing that song very well anymore. Just look up her later live performances and you'll want to cover your ears. They really did her a saving grace by keeping it short and fast.
