He took classical & operatic voice for years. That’s what gave KISS the different sound. His classic voice, Ace’s hard guitar, and Peter’s jazz drumming gave them a different sound than other hard rock acts. Was weird not to hear Sissel and Espen Lind sing it. It's not a bad version, but I still prefer the original. Ms. Sarah Brightman just don't have the correct voice for this song. She IS an amazing singer without a doubt though.

And Paul Stanley.. Same there to be honest. He is a good singer, but not for this song..

@Totto87 I guess it depends on which version you heard first. I didn't really like the original version - Sissel's singing is good enough, but I get the feeling Espen didn't putting enough feeling in his part. Also, the background instrumental is... not epic enough. But the Sarah/Paul version is just immenselly epic and heart-rending, and I can't help feeling it's better than the original. Then again, it's the one I heard first...

@ElanorPam I'll agree on you that the difference between Espen and Sissel's performance is quite different. I don't think Paul Stanley has the correct type of voice for this song though but him + Sissel could be a fun duo, I wonder if someone could actually edit away Espen and Sarah and combine the two versions, that would actually have been cool to test out.
