@naruto90123 I wouldn't agree with the "greatest os out there to use" about XP, but I agree that it was the best Windows os there ever was to use. After I was exposed to Unix based operating systems in 2005, I've never gone back to windows.

@linuxrobotdude Yeah you're right. -I was over typing (;- but i mean it was the operating system that managed to run around the world, from work to home from atms to the newest netbook. it just manages to satisfy needs possible. Yeah I remember my days in the early 2000's where we had to pay for Novell Suse Linux upgrades at Fry's Electronics. . . before they became free online :)

@naruto90123 Personally I started out Ubuntu, and I prefer the modular construction of Linux (and the fact that the GUI is separate from the core os, so that GUI problems didn't bring the whole machine down) and the whole "if you don't like it just change something and recompile the operating system." XP was my favorite windows distribution, it was the longest lived and touched a lot of people, I just always have had bones to pick about the software architecture of Windows.

I am Glad to Say that as this Moment I am Reinstalling XP on my Laptop after using Darik's Boot NUKE software to get Vista off of it. Also Glad to Say that Windows XP was later announced after the Release of Windows 7 that Windows XP will be supported until 2014 not 2008. WOOOOOOOOOOT

Vista x64 was better then any other x64 bit OS (I'm excluding 7). In fact, my x64 bit on my laptop (Vista), is the same specs as my x64 bit XP desktop and the vista one is faster. Now, 7 on my Dad's laptop is the best. Plus, the Government uses Windows 2003 as their server, because it is the most hack-proof out of all of the windows OS's. Research your shit before you comment.

I think u missed my point, it was that a mac is also a PC, as PC stands for personal computer i am in the industry and i am quite annoyed at this determination of mac to make their products with different from others, i.e. Ipod and mp3 player, PC and Mac. It has always got to me that this way of thinking had grouped all OS but mac in to one.

No, Vista has a lot of errors if you're an idiot with computers. And so far when every Windows OS comes out, it's full of bugs and is junk. When WinXP came out, everyone hated it and everyone said "NO STICK WITH WIndows98 or windows 2000!" now that Vista is out everyone is saying "STICK WITH WinXP!" Same old bullshit. Vista is better than Windows XP, Windows 7 is better than both Vista and XP. End of story.

Yeah, it sucked before Service Pack 1. But even then it wasnt THAT bad. But lets not forget that before SP1, WinXP sucked big time too. As of now (especially with Service Pack 2 on Vista) Vista is Waaaaay better than XP now. And Win7 is better than both will ever be.

And when you say "it's very bad optimized" that's what everyone sad about WinXP when it came out. And you know why? Because people were trying to run it with 128 or 256MB of RAM. If Vista runs like crap, its because your PC is slow

Actually, LVGshultz, the reason people hate Vista is because it's so intrusive and is always interrupting. Also, it doesn't work with most earlier programs. That's why 7 came out so soon after Vista.
