It's tough to fight BJ. There's no surefire way to beat him, but boxing with him probably isn't the best strategy. Taking him down is almost impossible. Tying up in the clinch and grappling with him will get you nowhere. He's too fast to effectively kickbox with him. You've gotta be prepared for a complete fight, and you have to chip away at him one piece at a time to defeat him.

I think he took sherk a little more seriously though, when BJ doesn't take a fight seriously he gasses out after a round or a round and a half like he did in his first fights against GSP and Pulver but he looked solid through all 3 rounds against Sherk
