What the hell I wasnt watching the video (thinking shannon would be singing) and then.....it sounded like someone stabbed shannon in the throat and made him deepthroat a cactus to sing it. Not good.
It's a good voice LIVE but they can't seem to find a good way to record it. Nico might have made a pretty good replacement (shannon's daughter not nico of the velvets)
@Boganator4 if you read interviews, they all say that if they continued to play together, no matter what they called themselves, people will still continue to relate to them as "the guys from Blind Melon" It only made sense to continue to call themselves that, and to move forward, as you suggest by making a 'new band'. It's the best of both worlds as it keeps Shannon's memory and band alive and spreads the amazing talent and joy that is Blind Melon. :: Don't be so harsh, Travis is amazing.
I agree that they are a band,some awesome musicians.Yet,there is no mistaking the chemistry they had with Shannon.He was just too freakin' incredible and sadly they may never find anyone else who will really measure up. Blind Melon and Shannon Hoon are synonymous and that will go down in history.I am angry at Travis for what he's done, considering what they have gone through. So,I'll keep hold of hope..

I agree, they should break the old attachment, start fresh and go in their own direction. I think though, it is much more important for them to reconnect with their old audience and, still play those old songs. I think there has to be some fear that they could tank, and this could fail leaving them washed up for good.

They're too involved...Blind Melon is an entity, not a band. Travis, their singer up until a few months ago, replicated his voice very well live.

I think you got it backwards, Hoon is associated with Melon. Blind Melon was not Shannon Hoon. Blind Melon is a band.
