I remember this anime from when I was a child. I use to try and stay up and watch cartoon network and found this anime. I only remember the opening credits and that the main character was broody and some girl followed him around. Good old times ^^. By the time I was old enough to stay up and watch this, the anime was already taken off from Adult swim :(

I loved the way this show re-invented Pinnochio. I know it has it's own plot and whatnot. But even the show itself constantly references the little boy puppet. What I'm trying to say is that it's nice to see originality inspire even more originality.

If anyone has seen this recently or remembers it a lot, can someone tell me if there was a scene where a woman shot herself in the snow?

I remember from when I was little probably 5 or so, I was still up at night and I turned my tv to cartoon network, only to see a woman shoot herself and fall to the snow with blood splattered.

My mom didn't allow me to watch it so I never got the name of what I saw.

But is there a scene in this anime like that?

so I looked this up because I vaguely remembered a robot dude with a guitar from when I was like 5 from adult swim, but I had to uber-search for the name. I don't remember anything about this, except the vague guitarness, so can you tell me if it was good, and/or if it went anywhere. Like, were there a lot of episodes, and was it finished? i'm thinking of looking it up.

@pokemonmasterxful No, I think it was an unofficial ending. Jiro and his brother were on motorcycles, then fighting each other. The girl calls out to him. And it ends with Jiro looking towards the audience, then walks into the fog of the woods, and disappears.

Oh man, I haven't seen this show in years. I remember the first time I saw this was back when I went to my first anime convention in 2002..or 2003. But yeah, saw this at the video room and thought "Oh wow, this must be a classic"
