  • How the hell can you compare tire traction if you upgrade torque converters before you try the new tires?

  • @JamnRemoval I said the same thing

  • @JamnRemoval yea i know that stupid as hell the radials will make a difference but most of it was from the converter

  • Horrible comparison. But I also noticed that the SUV was running 2 sec 60ft times on stock tires... this sint' really a bad time to start with.. The NT555R will be most noticable on applications that have major traction issues from the start. (I even once read an article that talked about how the 555R was developed with FWD in mind..)

A heavy SUV isn't as hard to launch as say a 400whp muscle car.. or an extreamly light 300hp FWD.. (These would see more benefit from Drag Radials)

  • That was a horrible test. of course it will launch better with a stall converter too

  • wonder how these would do on a AWD vehicle, since you can't warm them up on AWD.

  • I think the stall converter helped a lot. They should have installed it and tested both tires. That would've been much more interesting.

How much psi were in the drags at the drag strip?

  • @nascrchi I think he was runnin 18psi he said it in the vid. Ya this really isnt impressive considering they did a converter. It seems as if he wouldnt have picked up anything by doing the drag radials. A converter helps alot.
