ok so how will this affect the end game..will shepard be empty handed at the end(paragon)..or will he have an assault rifle in his hand? (renegade)

Yes you do, but how many you need... I don't know. If you would like to do this (and get BOTH Paragon and Renegade) then just go through the game THUS FAR and go back and forth between making PARAGON decisions and RENEGADE decisions. Then when you get to Novaria, you will have enough for both to continue the conversation the way I have.. in the video.

Here's a side note: If you pause the video around 0:14 seconds... I have enough Renegade points there to do the glitch. So that's your goal.

My problem was that I didn't get the blue and/or red alternative dialog. Is that because of I didn't have enough Paragon/Renegade-points?

stupid question but i just bought the game a couple of weeks ago How do you skip conversations?

Press a button on the controller. I think it's A. Actually I think there's multiple buttons you can press.

YOu can't skip a WHOLE convo with one button. But you can skip through sentences faster with buttons.

I can't assume that this glitch would also work on the PS3 version. Or if there's a PC version. But I'm 90% sure it's an Xbox360-only glitch.

I just played mass effect twice through on the computer and it works. I find it hard to believe someone forgot to code that out after it had been out for xbox 360 for so long... guess someone was sleeping. maybe it was intentional?

i have a easy way to get paragon, its easier than this, but this is the best way to get renegade.

What's an easier way to get Paragon? Also, is that way EARLIER in the game than this? Because this way is super cool (IMO) because you can do Paragon and Renegade at the same time... get 100% in the same game! And it's not a long process either...

Well you deleted my comment, and i dont even know which reply is the right one... my way is a lot more easy... Ater you've done the right things, all you do is press A and the paragon points keep coming, no cutscene. A once for 4 paragon, again for another 4 paragon and so on...

is there a separate meter for Paragon AND Renegade, or do you have to be one or the other?

I'm also curious, does your meter determine whether the council lives or dies at the end, or do you get to make a choice?

There are two meters actually and have points in both. And you get the final option on the council's lives.

Yes, there's a separate meter for both. Which means (by doing this) you can get 100% on both Paragon AND Renegade... in the SAME game (it's cool if you're going for the achievements).

You meter doesn't DECIDE with the council at the end... but it determines what choices YOU can make. There's also a few things prior to that cutscene that determine what you can do.
