PLEASE READ - Im new to youtube and i just made a youtube account. i uploaded a short vid of myself playing some blues. please watch and give me some feedback. i will be uploading more sophisticated videos soon!!! thanks youtube world :)
Gary Novak's "trio" playing style is very similar to the one Keith Carlock uses with Wayne Krantz/Tim Lefebvre, in my opinion. In fact, this reminds me a lot of Wayne Krantz :-)
Good example of real musicians. Landau and Chaney can keep their own time like real musicians should. Novack's free to play music, not work as a babysitter, even though the time is so thick here, you'd have to be real inadequate to get lost.
Problem here is they're all trying to play together, they're all on the same 'train' going nowhere fast. Bass and drums need their own rides.
Perfectly said. I tried to express by some words under. I fell that same. Gary is totally behind of all drummers, really creates somethings whats behind the words. Pure transcendence
Buzz Feiten has a new album just out ( in Japan so far ) with Brandon Fields guesting . Its absolutely wonderful .. Buzz is as stunning as ever .. its a pure treat . Pls tell all your music loving friends to go out and get it . Buzz deserves our support .. his talent is unique and he is too oft overlooked .

Indeed ... ML is a really great guitar player but this dude on the drums really makes me crazy. Ruins the whole song which is in a completely different mood.
oh, same meanings as you, i´m surprised, that this way of Gary´s expression confused someone. There´s too many people that liked Colaiuta and Chambers breakin´a rhytms which is more broken and not so complex as Gary natural expression. Gary is probably, same as Landau, one of the greatest, maybe greatest. but he´s not so much comercial as the other. of course ... he don´t need it, he´s really great man and person. Gary hello from Miles Warm - have a good life
yes, I already ordered that cd, but it doesn't contain this song 'I'm Buzzed', which seems to be the songtitle. The 'Live 2000' cd and 'Tales From The Bulge' do contain this song.

What are you talking about... perhaps you don't really 'get' the song. The drummer is doing a great job.
