The first statistic is misleading.

5,500 teens die in car crashes each year. Okay...this isn't necessarily the driver. Most teens are riding with someone else when the crash occurs (this is due to distractions with their passengers).

You are also including teens that are 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19. Half of these can't even drive. So take away many of the 5,500. It's actually not that bad.

I am a teen. I choose to not text and drive. That's my choice. But it isn't that bad!
