for some reason, i cant really explain, this song is makes me want to cry. haha i sound like such a dork. no but really, i think this song is absolutly beautiful. its sad and haunting, no doubt. but also very hopefull. its like one of those songs youd hear in a climax or even ending of a good movie. i want this played at my funneral ♥ haha, god forbid i die any time soon, though :)

Very haunting and poignant - as "oddleifn" has pointed out, it is amazing how many fantastic songs can originate from splits, break-ups, arguments and the like! The Beatles were a phenomenon who produced so many classic tracks, but this is my favourite!

Paul wrote this song after he and John had a big quarrel. He was very sad, feeling down, knowing that Beatles were splitting up. This song was adressed to John. Funny how sad things can create beautiful music. Love this song.

One of The Beatles bests. It goes very well with the video you put together. Yes it does make you stop and think about all the different roads you have taken in life. It's funny how sometimes you come full circle and end up with the friends you started with and thought were gone forever. That's where I'm finding myself now, wonder where the road goes from here.

I just watched a PBS show about assisted suicide and the person requested some Beatles music while he waited for the liquid to take affect, since they did not have any the person administering sang the The Long & Winding Road along with him as he died. Very touching.

maybe it is about a relationship. For me, it is about my relationship with God. No matter how far I got from him, how I perceived he had left me waiting for him, he always leads me back. I don't think Paul thought that...but I do. I cry almost every time I hear it since I know I abandoned God but he never did me.
