  • Simply beautiful!

  • @pianogirl98

Thank you for your encouraging words!

  • This really captures the heart, thanks for uploading...

  • @paopaomanalansan

Thank you for your kind comment!

  • I'm playing the bottom part with in the first two pages with my left hand cause my hand is small.

  • It depends....if your hands are big and can stretch, then it could be played by the right hand, but if you hands are small(like me) then you play it with your left hand, but it gotta move faster over the keyboard.=)

  • @BiancadiAngelo1000

Thank you for your comment. Of course, everyone has to find his own way to play it at last and the size of the hand is an important matter.

  • Is the "lower part" of the treble clef played by the left hand or right hand?

  • @GodNameInVain

As far as I remember I play it with the left hand.

  • @musicusblau but it'ss sooo hard to do the "inner voice" with the right hand. It is so much easier if you play with left hand... :)

  • @GodNameInVain i always play it with my right as i find it makes the left hands work easier

  • oh no i have to play this for one of my grade 7 pieces i cant play this well i am going to fail !!!!!!

    : (

  • Very nice realisation. Mehndelsshon is fast becoming a favourite of mine this is the first piece i have learned by him and I'm doing another for my grade 8; the Allegretto Con Espressione: 1st Movt From Sonata In E. Op. 6. though i haven't got very far yet :) again; very nice realisation.

  • Thank you for your kind comment.

  • Sound great!

  • Thank you!

  • awesome playing! I'm doing andante moderato by faure and the song is equally fantastic :) if i could i would do this for my C piece :)

  • Yes, why not, it´s such a beautiful piece and not so difficult to play. Have much success for your examination! And thank you for your kind praise!

  • I'm thinking of doing this for my B piece for Grade 5, and this has kind of persuaded me to do it for definite! I agree this is probably the best version on youtube. :) But..I listened to this on the official ABRSM CD and it seems to be played faster than this. Thoughts?

  • Thank you for your kind comment. Well, "Andante" is a relative tempo prescription, there is one who plays it a bit faster and the other does play it a little slower. Of course, it´s possible to play it faster than I do here. I can´t make the decision, which tempo you feel to be right;)

  • @Jiffo93 thios is a grade 7 piece not a grade five piece, i think you may need to double check the op. no. and title :P

  • I'm learning this right now. Not too hard to play, and just wonderful!

  • Yes, right, thank you for listening.

  • i've just started working on grade 7 and have chosen this as my piece for list B.

i've only been working on it for a week, but ive already fallen in love with the piece

i just look forward to the day when i can play is fluently

i would also like to say, i have been searching youtube and listening to various versions of this to help me while im learning it and yours is by far the most beautiful ive heard.

  • Thank you and have much success!

  • Yeah, same here! :) Just started learning it for my grade 7, needed a good recording to see the features in it more clearly! :)

  • Thank you for listening!

  • Well done! Im playing this, too, great piece

  • Thank you!

  • This is the perfect example for anyone learning their Grade 7 and have chosen this piece like me.

    Thank you.

  • Thank you for your kind comment and have much success.

  • What a good player.Have you already passed Diploma?

  • Thank you. Yes, I have passed my exam.

  • wow. u played it wonderfully. I haven't any words to express the uniqueness of it. I also practicing that piece for my exam. so thank you for uploading coz I can learn lot of things just hearing it. Keep it up.

  • Thank you. You are welcome and I wish you all the best for your exam!

  • hey can you please be friend with me and teach me your trick in becoming such a wonderful player? my exam are coming and i still don't know how to play like you despite reaching 3month playing T_T

  • Thanks for your kind comment. Though I don´t understand your last sentence too well (because my Enlgish isn´t the best, sorry for that), I only can say, that to practise and to feel in into the music is my only "trick", but I do play this piece much longer than 3 month, I still have played it in my youth, so it´s part of my repertoire since many years.

  • oh okay =D but i still like can't get to really play well.. i don't know why but i have been hoping to be able to express well for this piece but i am like stuck with my current playings... and i hate it T.T

  • This piano player=The best player of this piece!

  • Thank you very much for your kind comment! I´m sure there are much more pianists, who play this better than me, but I´m very glad you like it:)

  • how did you bring out the melody line so well? i've trouble getting the melody line up. but i've started for 3 weeks only. i guess i have to practice harder

  • Thank you for the kind comment. Of course, it´s a matter of practising to play the notes of the melody louder than the others. That´s the only "trick" here.

  • nice flowing change of dynamics! ilse von alpheim was nice but rather too straight and lacks some variety in dynamics. wish you could post it with your Grotrian piano.

  • Thank you for your kind comment. I have played this one on my Grotrian-Steinweg-grand-piano like all my other pieces here on my channel. The possibility of a big differenciation in dynamic and colour of tone is a typic feature of the Grotrian brand IMO.

  • I know someone who's playing this, but he's terrible. Really terrible.

    You were good though.

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you!

  • you played it so beautiful!!

one thing i don't know how to do is on the last page, my right hand has to play two notes at the same time (The last climax in this piece). and i don't understand how to play it so that the melody stands out a lot (Just like what you have done here)

but Thank you very much for loading this, it helped me a lot

  • Thank you for your kind and encouraging comment.

I don´t know exactly what you mean with your problem, but at some places it´s necessary to play a note with the right hand, which you usually play with the left and reverse. May be this helps you.

  • my hand always cram when i play this song...sad..got 7 mths to train

  • Do you mean "cramps"? May be you are interested in the method of Peter Feuchtwanger. I have heard, he has found a way to become as relaxed as possible while playing. I can not recommend any literature, but may be you´ll find something on the internet.

  • ya, cramps..i missed out the "p"..oh ok, thanks =)

  • hey i am also learning this piece too. :D

    u play really well.

    All the best. (:

  • Thanks for the kind comment. Have much pleasure and success with that lovely piece!

  • OMG YOU PLAYED THIS? it's soooooooooooooooooooooo nice!(: it's really good! :D

  • Thank you very much. I´m glad you like it.

  • So many people doing this for grade 7 xD including me lol.

  • Lol. I have to admit, that I don´t know exactly what this mysterious grad seven means, but I wish you much success with it!

  • Lol thank you! It's for ABRSM piano exams. Like the British Royal board of something lol. And you have to pick one piece from each section, and this is the third piece from section B.

  • love this piece! learning for grade seven and think its beautiful :)

  • Thank you and I wish you many success with it!

  • Same! I'm learning this too! :D

  • It 's so good. I love it.

  • Thank you for your kind comment!

  • I choose this song as my royal grade 7 exam but I cant play it well at third page.. =o

  • yea im doing it too for my royal grade 7 exam =)

  • I wish you both much success, Chibiisuke and micgamecrazy.

  • very good song!

  • Thank you for your kind comment!

  • very good!!

  • I´m glad you like it!

  • This made my evening!

  • Nice!

  • Hermosa pieza musical, gracias.

  • Thank you for your kind comment!

  • Very beautiful!!!

I am also learning this piece.

  • Thank you! So, I´m very courios on your version.I´m sure, it will become a nice one.

  • Excellent!! High quality! I added it into my playlist. I am searching Lied ohne Worte Op62 No.6 on U TUBE , but no high quality version is found. If possible would you uplaod No.6?

  • Thank you for your kind comment. As soon as I will find time for it, I will post op. 62, 6.

  • thankyou!

  • You are welcome. Thank you for your interest.

  • Very good rendition, with adequate care both for dynamic details and general smooth and expessive tone.

  • Thank you very much for your kind comment, Sandro.

  • thx a lot and from your mood in a bit slower, i capture some details should be done in this piece

  • Yes, I like this slower tempo for this piece. Barenboim plays it a bit faster f.ex., other interprets play it as slow like me. That´s different. Indeed, every Song Without Words has much beautiful details to work on.
