when I was on a day to day basis with him, his hearing loss was mainly in one ear and I remember you would have to talk to him on his "good" side... If you forgot, you'ld have half a conversation before he looks at you and says, "I'm sorry... Did you say something?" The brother is wise and doesn't mind sharing the knowledge.
