I am from Lincoln Co. WV i was born in the coal fields and most of my family work/worked in the mines, I'm a red hat miner myself and i know how dangerous being a miner is. I had a buddy who worked up at Performance Coal and barely escaped the blast. Mining isn't just a job its a way of life for us, outsiders don't realize that us West Virginians are born into mining its in our blood. We know its dangerous but its our only way to survive.
