As part of my M.A. Photography thesis, I used Highway 40 Blues with a dissolved set of slides of a truck stop series (grainy b&w's) ending with a gradual fade of an old shirt hung on a nail in the truck stop bathroom, the fade ending with the last note of Hwy 40 blues. It was hard to coordinate the ending fade with the dynamic ending of the song, but finally it worked.

I know the song is not about Interstate 40, but I rode my motorcycle to the Grand Canyon from Knoxville Tennessee, and sang this song the entire way. I couldn't shake it!

iv,e had the highway 40 blues i drove from paris ky to Los Angeles ca from 1983 to 2009 seen alot over the years paid my dues had the highway 40 blues thanks for the music and the memories ricky
