@gutaws Actually Karate is Japanese, an Okinawin man saved a Chinese boy from drowning and was taught kung fu as a thank you then once back in Okinawa he combined it the Okinawan Te system and put Kara in front originally meaning China hand but was later changed to mean empty hand so Karate was created in Okinawa and reinforced in Japan making it Japanese.
Jackie Chan will be a wonderful teacher, You haven't even given him a chance. Dont hate something new because something old is better. Jackie has a ton of talent and the potential to make a wonderful movie. Give it a shot. :D

Karate Kid is one of my all time favorite movies and I LOVE this song. One of my favorite songs. The editing in this video was nicely done too.
Now this is just my opinion, but I have to say that even though I love the song, it doesn't really go with Karate Kid. The choice seems completely random in all honesty. I would have preferred a song that was more motivational with that 80's feel to go along with the movie better. Like I said though, just my opinion..

The Karate Kid started training in the art because he was being picked on by bullies, this is the same reason many kids take up a form of martial arts.
He is not a wimp, but he was looking out for his best interests and his safety. He's a hero!
What's unbelievable is the actor that plays Daniel-san was 23 when this was shot. Funny that the character Elizabeth Shue dumps Daniel after KK1 and before KK2 to go back to johnny the jock.
Anyone else ever notice the similarity between the KK trilogy and the 'Back to the Future' trilogy. In part one the story is about a kid where the old guy (Myagi/Doc) is just one of the supporting characters. By episodes two and three there is clearly a battle as to who the leading man is. By the BTTF cartoon (which followed the trilogy) the story is about Doc and his kids - Marty is barely there and in KK4 Myagi has clearly won as Daniel isn't there at all. Morale: Watch out for the old guy!

Buddy the music is ok bu it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the movie!!! The is music is much newer. You should have put GLORY OF LOVE wich is the original soundtrack and is a classic form the 1980s and so is the movie!

The Karate Kid started training in the art because he was being picked on by bullies, this is the same reason many kids take up a form of martial arts.
He is not a wimp, but he was looking out for his best interests and his safety. He's a hero!

What's unbelievable is the actor that plays Daniel-san was 23 when this was shot. Funny that the character Elizabeth Shue dumps Daniel after KK1 and before KK2 to go back to johnny the jock.

Anyone else ever notice the similarity between the KK trilogy and the 'Back to the Future' trilogy. In part one the story is about a kid where the old guy (Myagi/Doc) is just one of the supporting characters. By episodes two and three there is clearly a battle as to who the leading man is. By the BTTF cartoon (which followed the trilogy) the story is about Doc and his kids - Marty is barely there and in KK4 Myagi has clearly won as Daniel isn't there at all. Morale: Watch out for the old guy!
